Realistic price for a Speed6 sport???

So I test drove a Speed 6, Subaru Legacy GT, and Volvo S40 T5 AWD (based off the Mazda 3 platform).

06 Volvo S40- $21,500 + tax, used, 4600miles
07 Speed 6-invoice was around $26,000, + tax and tags,new
07 Legacy GT, invoice was around $27,000,+ tax and tags, new

What would be the absolute lowest I could get the Mazda dealer down too? I have done some searching on this forum and have seen as low as $23,000. Is that a realistic price now considering there will be no 08 models.

So what kind of "out the door" prices are you guys getting.
 
Mine was an 'executive demo', meaning someone at Mazda Corporate had it before it was picked up at a Mazda auction with 2000 miles on it. I paid $22,600.
 
for a new 07..ya i would say thats about the average invoice price you'll see. I saw higher than that on the 06 models even after the 07's were available. and with no 2008mps coming out..well lets just say that wont help lower the price at all ;)
 
Glad I got mine last summer. I picked up a Sport for $23500 after all incentives, and that was before it was leftover. Then the deals got lower once the car became used, like most have gotten. I could be the lowest price for July of 2006 purchase.

I guess with considerably less made, and it being the last model, there is not that rush to get them off the lots right now like there were a year ago. If you wait, you likely will see better deals, assuming they aren't selling for the invoice prices over the next few months. Good luck!!! :)
 
oh wow i just realized you were looking at a sport model. anything close to $27k is ridiculous..that would be a lot closer to a GT model speed6 price, but even then i bet you can find better deals.
 
I got my 2006 GT in August 2006 with Sirrius and everything except Nav for $26 and change plus tax with $1000 Ford Discount and all available incentives. I think some of the real low numbers you see are pie in the sky. I think with all available incentives between 4 and 5K below sticker is doing pretty darn good. Oh and a total of 6 miles on the clock.
 
Paid $25000 out the door on my 07 Black Mica Sport with 13 miles on it. Took awhile to find one that was a black sport. Founds lots of GT's.
 
i went to the mazda dealer.. and this lady quoted 31k OTD for GT. (there were no sports on the lot) .. she kept saying they won't go below msrp cus its such a hot item.. my ass.. its been sitting there for months. i hear ppl paying 25-28k for a GT so i was wondering whats reasonable OTD!

Actually it has nothing to do with exchange rates since our dollar is almost worth what your dollar is. It's just that we pay more for the cars :(
