check the mazda wireing harness, mine did the same thing and i had to by-pass the connectors and just hardwire them. or take it to an audio shop and have them take a peek at it

Racing Harts are way cleaner imo....and on a silver p5? Ballin status. I seriously wish I never sold mine.
