So what is involved in tapping into the oil pan? Do you drill a threaded hole and put some kind of fitting on there for oil lines?

On other cars, you get to drill a thin aluminum pan in just the right place while it's on the car, trying to get around the AC compressor and if you go too far you hole the oil pickup. Then you tap the hole....
...but not on a Protege
