What have you done to your Miata today?

So, after my 4th ripping review, I got an offer for a 35$ cash refund. For some reason they refuse to take back the tank for a full refund, or even a merchandise credit. The tank works and even though the third bolt doesn’t work, it’s still sturdy enough to hold it tight. And by using the lower bolt hole, it allows the motor arm for the headlight to go up and down. I refuse to use a tie wrap to hold the top bolt hole. So I initially got a 15% off the 100$ tank, got it for 85$ and got a 35$ refund. 🤔 I still can’t recommend them….got a product that didn’t fit correctly and customer service that was horrible. I honestly don’t think I’ll get anything more from these folks, they just don’t get it.

@bazooka joe as Chief said it's better than a poke in the eye but still crazy that this how they treat a customer.

Let's see over the last few days I've washed her (Friday), replaced the rear brake pads and rotors (Saturday) and found that a 275/45/21 wheel/tire from a CX-70 will fit in the passenger seat (Tuesday).

what’s with the wheel/tire in the passenger seat?

Painted the rockers on the 91. The black was all faded. Used a Dupli-color “rocker guard “ textured paint. Came out great! Should have take a before pic …..

I got a text Monday night from our daughter. As she was pulling up to the curb in front of her boyfriends house she hit the curb with the PS front tire. So I drove over and swapped the donut on.

Tuesday morning, I put it in my car in hopes of getting a new tire mounted and balanced locally.

I called a few tire shops and checked Tire Rack. Surprisingly the dealer was the cheapest OTD price and they had one in stock. I left work at lunch and dropped it off. Picked it up around 4pm and swapped it back on and advised her to be more careful when parking. It was an expensive lesson for her at $387.11.

Oh, just curious, the BF couldn’t swap on the tires? Ya, we had a mishap yrs ago with a granite curb. Blew out both passenger side tires. Fortunately it was right in front of the shop we just left. Very expensive day!

I'm sure he could have if he needed to. He did get the spare out of her trunk for me and said he saw the scissor jack. I'm not sure how well that would have worked up against the curb anyway? Yikes, that does make for an expensive day especially after you just picked it up from the shop.
