Too small for me

I was wandering around the showroom a couple days ago while my oil was being changed and there was a Miata sitting on the floor. Silly me knew better, but I thought I'd have a seat in it to check it out. You know those red and yellow plastic push cars that toddlers get around in? Yeah. I couldn't get in the Miata either.

There is a science to it, getting into the Miata not the little red and yellow plastic push car. ;)

I suggest going back to the dealer and trying this:

To get in:
  1. Open the door.
  2. Turn your backside to the cockpit and sit back onto the seat placing one hand on the a-pillar and the other hand on the body of the car just behind the door.
  3. Swing your right leg in followed by your left leg.
To get out:
  1. Open the door.
  2. Swing your left leg out followed by your right leg.
  3. Place one hand on the a-pillar and the other hand on the seatback and use your arms to help push you out of the seat.
Not only does it help but you don't look ridiculous to passerby as you attempt to get in/out. lol Wish you the best!

Yeah, when getting out, you're turning around and stepping towards the back of the car at a 45° angle. At least that is how it works for me.

I bought the CX5 because it was getting more difficult to get in and out of my Accord. I think I'll skip trying to get in and out of the Miata again.

I should have tried it out when I was at the dealership yesterday. One of the YouTube automotive content creators had a little joke about needed a helmet to get in and out of the Miata lol

Well, you can't go wrong with the CX-5 either @GrampaSlade. Zoom-Zoom

That's ok @sm1ke, just an excuse to go back to the dealer so you can get behind the wheel of one. ;)
