What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Does it clear the cover?
It sits up against it.

But this way I can also easily fill my sample bottle. It's almost like a beer tap for your oil pan :D

I have a similar 'tap' on another car. I was thinking about getting them for our Mazda's, but I never even thought about clearance to the undertray. So good to be reminded and to know! Thanks.

new tires....last night and today going to put them through their paces on going to the sun road in GNP.

What kind of tread is that and what are you using them for? "..going to the sun road in GNP." does not compute!

Just installed the same tires this week, Michelin Crossclimate 2. I like them for the superb stability and control on wet surfaces. A bit noisy after a while but I'll choose the stability and control over noise every single time.

... My memory says if I were to do an Internet search, I betchya it would come back that "going to the sun road" is in Glacier National Park , Montana 😉

I find this interesting, because they test lower than other winter tires on wet surfaces. They're quite good in snow though.

I know, I've had Blizzak for a long time and I was amazed about how good they were in the rain. I would not put Michelin Crossclimate in the snow tire category.

Installed a Fortin evo one with rfk442 remotes on daughter’s car
Cleaned both her and my own
Used Meguiars Waterless wash and wax
And
Invisa Glass with repellant

The CrossClimate isn't really a heavy rain tire as it has no straight channels to prevent hydroplaning. A good all-season tire will greatly outperform it in the wet, while the CC will easily outperform the AS in snow. One tire that can get close is the DWS06 Plus when it still has full tread depth and the S is showing in the tread. Of course that diminishes with miles.

You've got a four year old CX-5 with a bad cat! What's that all about?
A four year old car with a bad cat! That's exactly right. More than 100.000 miles on it and I have to replace it. The thread is about what have we done to our cars and this is what I've done or what I am about to do!
