Yah that's a shame. No offense, but hatchbacks are for kids or grandmas. And YES, it IS IN FACT...a Wagon. face it. you dont see lamborghini wagons for a reason.

and don't forget the evo wagons overseas, also the upcoming forrester sti. i like the idea of being able to wipe the smug smirk off some bmw drivers face on the way back from the grocery store/kids soccer practice

by the way, is the interior of a 6 really that much bigger than the 3? i've never been in either, but the 3 looks taller and roomier to me for some reason.

Hey guys,
In my own personal opinion, the 3 hatch is one of the sexiest hatchbacks made. I mean the damn thing is like a beautiful woman. It's Sleek and has great curves. A lot of you guys list vw gti's as a more attractive car, while I think it's way too boxy and uninspiring.
You can call it a wagon, hatch, grocery getter, whatever. The fact of the matter is, the MSP3 is quite possibly going to be one of the best FWD platforms ever to be made in terms of overall performance and that can only make things better for Mazda as a company. If Mazda does well with this car, and gets the respect it deserves for producing very well designed, great performaning vehicles, it'll give them the confidence to make even better cars for thier devoted fans.

Take a look at the kabura, pretty nifty pocket rocket. If you guys haven't noticed lately, I'm telling you the car industry is going back to the age of fast
rockets. Nissan = 350z & R32 Dodge = Challenger, srt4 Caliber, Charger Toyota = Supra GM = Camaro Mazda = MSP3 ???????
I wouldn't mind a next generation rx7(turbo'd ****** please) *HINT HINT*(first)

Nice Brochure.

After skimming through this thread, I see alot of people over rating there own cars unable to accept the fact that Mazda had just produce a new well built pocket rocket that is alot better than there's. Since the RX-7 I haven't seen Mazda producing a car that has the uniquelook that out performs cars in it's class by far until the MS3.

You a marine? If so it shows, if not your just a dumb ass.

I am not sure what you are trying to say here, but I don't think I appreciate it. I just celebrated 25 years with the USMC (both active and reserve), and am very proud of that, and The Corps. Granted, Karma_hunden hasn't proven himself to be a Rhodes Scholar with his comments and grammar, but that has nothing to do with him/her either being or not being a Marine. As we discuss such meaningless topics as whether to call a hunk of metal a hatch or a wagon, there are thousands of Marines, Sailers, Soldiers, and Airmen, who have been put in harm's way by the current administration. Whether or not they should be there is an entirely different discussion, but the fact remains Marines, along with all the other service members, are enduring untold difficulties to accomplish the missions set before them. Thousands of them have come home in the boxes, and many thousands more have come home permanently disabled. Does that make them dumb-asses? I think that makes them heroes.

One loudmouth unthinking young punk spouting off in an insignificant forum will not sully their sacrifice. Shagwagn, if you were never in the military, I suggest you go down to your local VFW, and talk to some of the old men in there, or at least see "Band of Brothers" and "Saving Private Ryan." These may have featured the Army, but they might be able to at least some idea of what others have done to allow you the privilege of living free. There is a movie coming out this month called "Flags of our Fathers." Go see it. It is about one of the most famous Marine battles ever. We have been protecting this country for 231 years, come this November 10, and will continue to do so. We are the Few, the Proud, we are the finest fighting force this world has ever seen. Dumb-asses? Not on your life.

If you actually were in the military, you understand about what I am speaking, so I will accept your comment as just some friendly inter-service rivalry, you ( ) fill in the blank: a. doggie, b. swabbie, c. flyboy.

BTW, call it a hatch, call it a wagon, call it anything you want, but call one of them mine the day after I get back.

Back on topic: Nice brochure, nice car, but mine will be the NA, plane-jane Mz3 hatchwagon.

agreed...

the atfermarket has been waiting for this car to come out. give it 3-6 months, and u b able to find MS3 parts from probelmy every aftermarket company.

U CAN'T beat the cost and performance for a new car, other than the MS3.

I wasn't really a hatchback guy until I got my P5...now I love it. Of course I got plenty of good natured "hey nice station wagon" from coworkers, but it eventually grew on them too.

But for some reason the Mazda 3 just looks sorta "too tall and fat"...but I do like this new MS3....hmmm....

I went to the dealer on Monday to see what they had, and at first glance and seeing the first pictures, I wasn't thrilled with the MS3. When I walked into the dealer and saw both the red and silver MS3's, my opinion totally changed. Comparing a MS3 next to a 3s, theres really no contest, the MS3 totally takes on a different appearance, both inside and out. I'm very impressed with how it looks, and its swayed me and stirred a great deal of interest in getting one.

I really want a nice brochure for my car but none of the dealers around here got any apparantly. I hope they get some soon. All they had were the little mini brochure things.

that one part of the making of a MazdaSpeed trait. "must have visoral differences from 50 feet away"

In Europe are called Sportbacks!

European have it all and they like better than a sedan a sportbacks. They have all cars in that type of body. Who could imagine that audi europe will put a 420hp engine in a (wagon)RS4 Avant. 0-60 in 4.6 seconds love it.....

All those wagons you posted look like ass... So maybe I need to change my definition to... if it looks like crap, it's a wagon. otherwise, it's a hatch
