New strut bar time

need the cruise control side...i know itll fit the P5 no problem.... i just dont have cruise so idk how the braket is so i wanna see if i can make it work with that.

it's the top left side of the pic.. I dunno if I have a closer pic but you should be able to zoom in on that, and I could start up my desktop computer and get the 8 megapixel version too.

Thanks for the reply. Is it worth doing on a car with the stock suspension?

Might seems off-topic, but I was wondering the same thing too. Ive got a pretty much stock MP3/MSP suspension, and would like to know if those braces by GT-spec make a real difference.

the stock strut bar would do better. the gtspec does not have welded ends, they are bolted to the baseplate which allows a lot of flex. it is pretty much for show.

im looking for a welder for the bar im making...will be a 3 point bar so if youknow any welders ill cut ya a great deal!

just need a welder that can read CAD drawings and know wtf to do

I actually work at a metal shop that uses CAD drawing quite often and have a CNC plasma cutter, though im not a welder myself. Too bad for the distance >.<

Any chance i could get a copy of the drawings so i can see if anyone at the shop i work at would be willing to weld one up for me? :P Though the shop is quite busy atm and i kinda doubt i could get anybody to stay, off the clock, and weld much, if at all. Guess thisll give me more of a reason to start pushing them to teach me more than just tacking.

Also curious of how difficult it would be to fabricate a sway bar. The shop i work at is fully capable of the bending required, just curious on how precise it all has to be.

i will be selling my 3 point... still debating if i want to make more 3 points...

sorry but i dont really want to give up the CAD drawings cause then id loose out on my work and effort put into it...id like to see some type of a return on these.

Its not hard to design a sway bar if you know a few equations and know what spring rate you want. Fabrication is easy with a simple jig. Determining the proper heat-treatment is another story though.
