Downpipe on,so is Check Engine light-s***!

well the thread title pretty much sums it up. how the hell do i flash the ECU to get rid of this annoying ass little yellow/orange light in the corner of my gauge cluster?

I'm still curious to see if this will work on our cars, maybe you can try it out. Did you remove the first cat or just switch the downpipe?
Anyway, there's a possible sollution if you removed the first cat on this thread I started:

the check engine light will always be on unless you get one of those resisters.

no,thats what i'm trying to figure out, flash/reset whatever. the light wasn't on last night when i put it on and it came on while i was driving home today

unplug the battery and then reattach. that should do it.

From what I remember, when you reset the ECU (unplug the battery for 30 seconds to a minute, then re hook up and let the car idle for 10 minutes) it should not come back on.
