OPERATION: beyONd RAILS (Install weekend, need help!)

MISSION. I have purchased suspension items and will need much help putting it all in. At this point, I am not concerned with commitments from anyone, just looking to see who might be able to help. Also, if you have been there a long time and we get a lot/most of it done I can buy lunch, etc. I specifically need to ask for Tom's help (since he has spring/strut experience) and of course anyone else who wants to help.

TIMES. Due to FT school (nights) and FT work (days), I am limited to next Saturday (12th) or Sunday (13th) or both. For those that want to help, out of those two, which day works better for you? both? either? I have class Sat from 9-1, but I can skip it if that's when most want to help. We can spread it out over both days if we run into trouble.

TOOLS. I should have most tools, fluids, etc. but you can never be without too many 10/12/14/17mm deep sockets, etc. Therefore any tools you want to bring might help. I have a double garage and a nice 3 ton jack (and stands). I don't have spring compressors, so if someone can bring those that is cool, otherwise I can rent them Sat AM.

LOCATION. For those that are wondering, I live in Inver Grove Heights (about 2 minutes south of 494) and can post directions once things gel a little more.

Based on reply, I will post final details soon...
Thanks!

Sound like this would be a good time for meeting everyone and lending a hand where I can :)

I am available Sat AM (prolly til 4 or 5pm), but busy SAT PM and Sunday all day.

Keep us posted on what you decide.

Also...I am wondering if I should get the goldline spings too. Anyone care to comment on what springs are good looking and give a decent day to day driving experience?

Thanks,
Ryan

sweet, i was talking to ryan, i might meet up also. Bleeding brakes is very easy, if i go, i'm sure i could help ya, i also work at checker auto parts as an assistant manager, maybe i could get some parts if you need them.

Cool, do you work that saturday?

Not on Saturday or Sunday. My hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm M-F. I just need to know how to get to you house. I know in Inver Grove, up 70th toward 52. PM me or call me on my cell.

Sounds good. I will call you that Saturday if I need extra hands.

ABC Rentals on Concord Blvd. has a spring compressor you need the side mounted ones. I rented the wrong ones once when I did springs on my other cars

I'm not going to be able to make it to the install, BUT if you do need a spring compressor, i can be sure to grab one for ya, and let you borrow it.

I am always up to lend a hand.. Just give me a call and we will get this all taken care of.....

Cool, I am thinking Saturday a little after noon since most people seem to be free then and I could still go to my one time saturday class from 9-12.

I hope to see ya here!

I rented spring compressors (the correct outer kind), so we should be set for tools...unless someone wants to bring a brake line bleeding "kit".

Peter, Tom, Aaron, Marc, Jon, LaserBlue135,

Thank you all for your help! While the car will need a little fine tuning, (alignment, possible brake rebleeding, etc), it is now a corner *****!

Glad I could be there to help. It was a great time and the car is looking GREAT.

Too bad it is snowing right now, you will have to swap your tires again :(
