Weird leak, help

Hey all new to the forum and trying to wrap my head around this leak. Currently I'm getting this random tiny green pool under the center of the car coming from the exhaust pipe (about a pop bottle capfull). Here's the kicker its not constant and very sporadic only happening randomly twice in the last 7 days. The reservoir and rad are full and haven't been topped up since this has happened. I don't have any white smoke either and no bubbling in reservoir when running. No engine lights or overheating signs either. Really trying to figure this out before I bring it to a mechanic. Thanks

It's probably coolant and it's probably working it way from the front to the middle. Does your vehicle have the under-body plastic lid that protects the bottom?

If so you might want to remove that and see if you can see spot where the leak is coming from.

If that is coolant, that's certainly not a good sign. What's the mileage?

I would start with what @wlong01 said and look for signs of obvious leaks. Otherwise, it sounds like some coolant is making it's way into the combustion chamber and then the exhaust?

Head gaskets are not common on these engines at all, but that's the most feasible thing I could think of.

I would very closely monitor radiator and expansion tank coolant levels, and probably the oil for signs of coolant mixing.

Two tests come to mind to track this down...actually three. One test to consider is to do a cooling system pressure test. Pressurize the cooling system and see if it holds pressure. The other test is to run the engine to the point the thermostat opens. Then at the recovery tank do a chemical sniff test to see if there is any CO in the cooling system.

The last one would be a cylinder leak down test...again seeing if each cylinder holds pressure.

Green is coolant. Important to find out where that is coming from. Also, do a visual check of the coolant level in the coolant res.

The radiator too.

You could lose coolant in the radiator (which is much more serious than having low coolant in the expansion tank) or vice versa.

If your coolant expansion tank appears level, but your radiator is low, that's an issue you wouldn't otherwise have known.
