I belong to the snake oil camp.
While searching for grounding kits, the product reviews reveal positive feedback when installed on a wide range of vehicles. Nothing backed by scientific analysis though, just simple user observations.
My life would have turned out very differently if most decisions are based on proven results by others. During the pandemic, I went to trucking school and got my class A CDL. I didn't and still don't know any mature females with soft, conservative background driving semis. Back then I bought a book written by a journalist who became a trucker later in life and that was like the closest match. On YouTube, there were quite a few younger females driving trucks and one had construction background. I wanted to see how far I could go. Passed the DMV permit test, learned to shift ten gears, and struggled to back up the trailer. I failed my first road test and passed a month later. The Hazmat, tanker, double-triple endorsements were easy as written tests. But I couldn't get hired. There were two OTR offers but I wasn't able to commit to that lifestyle. I spoke to a local recruiter over the phone and the position was filled mid-conversation. My carefully formatted and worded resume with experience in an industry far removed from trucking didn't help. I wore jeans and dark hoodies to approach local carriers, but as soon as I started talking, they knew. Finally I got hired by a local company that tested my endurance/durability for two weeks. I couldn't handle the weight and volume of cargo that a driver was required to deliver besides driving. The class B driver I rode along with was a young gal whose hobby was weight lifting.
I went as far as I could. The bottom line is, if a tractor with ten speed is left on the side of the road with key in the ignition, I can move it.
