Trunk Area Won't Stop Beeping / Car Won't Start

Hey guys, so I came out to my 2020 CX-5 GT this morning and there was a continuous beep coming from the trunk liftgate. The only way I am able to stop it is by disconnecting the battery. I went in and manually opened the liftgate and reconnected the battery and it started beeping again. I'm unable to start the car as well. When I push the start button without my foot on the pedal it will blink amber once and then flash green nine times, if I press the pedal the start button light goes amber. I'm also not fully able to press my brake down. Any help or information would be appreciated.

true but can happen. Mine started dying in the 12-14 months time frame since new. Covid also accelerated the process :)
+3 more months the car was sitting in the dealer lot prior purchase.

Update: changed battery and all works fine now.
Battery is covered under Mazda’s 3-year / 36,000-mile new car warranty.

Like dunhillmc mentioned above, if your 2020 CX-5 GT was assembled between 9/13/2019 and 3/18/2020, you have a bad Power Liftgate (PLG) Control Unit which can discharge your battery. Check this Special Service Program (SSP) C2 for details:
