HAPPY HALLOWEEN

So with a little help from the Sumlins, and some coaching from a few folks, I sent the fit packing last night. I picked up this lovely lady

Very nice Sean and congrats!!!

Thanks Jeff, will check them out. R1 is the cheapest I've checked so far.

Another beautiful day. Picked up the new mattress which was in a human sized box. Got some funny looks driving back from the store as I need the top down with the box sticking out a foot or so above the roof.

Halloween party tonite. Going as a rude Canadian.

Most welcome! Love the costume and best of all, it's free! :p

Guessing you watched the airshow at NAS Pensacola? Have you happened to pass by Corry Station? It's an old airfield that was converted to a training facility and I was there for about a year. Watched a couple of airshows over at NAS myself.

if rumors hold true, with any luck... a 2016 ms3. and if they arent true, then a 2008-2009 ms3. found a nice one recently but why buy it before winter and then have to buy a snow setup

friday! time to party!

Cool but as you said, will the rumors hold true? Guessing you don't like the genpu MS3? Well, buy the snow setup now or next year...tomayto, tomahto. haha

lol... I like your edit :D

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Very nice Sean and congrats!!!

Sean wanted to get a White hatch like mine, but I mentioned looking for his favorite color... Deep Crystal Blue Mica.

I didn't get a single trick or treater again this year.... Good thing I bought candy that I enjoy eating when I do eat candy.

Don't hold your breath... Any 2016 Speed3 rumors are just rumors or click-bait articles.

not holding my breath at all for it, just saying its a what if. i gotta get rid of the p5 i think next year due to the massive engine bay rust and now oil consumption since i do just small trips. summer tires are about dead and winter set up will have its 4th season now so its going to be due for those soon. perfect timing i think

what a good halloween! got many compliments and pics of me taken while at a museum party :D

Morning y'all, well the msm will be going in to hibernation this weekend. With the recent cold mornings the summer tires are like hockey pucks. This and one more winter and I'm done!

Yeah, the white looked good. If I had wanted to take one home that night, I would have.. Waiting a month for one exactly how I wanted it was a better idea.

Better to get what you want, that to settle for something that you are lukewarm about at best!

We are working on pricing for Lime Rock for pricing for next years event. We should have a larger Ohio contingent and our usual NEMOC turnout. I will be asking for the track to hold "10 Mazda Only" Campsites for 2015. Will keep you guys informed as to our progress with the track!

Nice Kyle

Mary and I took a trip to Dauphin Island in Mobil Bay. Ferry ride from Fort Morgan.

The rig is in 11 feet of water but drills down to 20,000 feet. I though it was oil but Mobil bay has the largest US gas supply.

Overhaul of the basics on my "new" 91 Celica GTS almost complete. Thermostat was easy, although it took ordering and returning 3 thermostats from Advance, and twice with the thermostat seal before I got the right combination of everything. Brake bolts were suprisingly easy to remove for being the original factory brakes.

This was perhaps the biggest deal of all of it. 326,000 mile 23 year old brake fluid, presumably. The brake fluid was so thick that I had to use both feet on the brake pedal to pump out the rears during the flush, which dramatically eased up to about normal once the new fluid got to the calipers. The contact surface of all 4 rear pads were corroded and pitted, not worn, so I suspect the prior owner hasn't had rear brake usage in quite a long time.

The line difference from new fluid ont he last corner to be flushed, to the first old fluid on the next corner to flush. No air is in that line.

Wow, pretty yucky stuff.

Finished up the 2 bikes, repacking all the bearings with new grease. Was a messy and surprising long job. Hardest part was getting the pedal arms off to get a the crank bearings.

Still need to order the new rotors for Mia and get started on that brake job. Rotors are the original ones and still look good.

No, just a GTS.

Took it to get inspected last night, and got stuck at the shop. Drove to the gas station mostly fine, but apparently at the gas station 3 of 4 calipers decided to stop moving, 1 not engaged at all and 2 engaged to varying degrees, and leaving the gas station was clearly something dragging, and kept the speed down to the shop a mile away. By the time I got to the shop the right front started smoking and was glowing a dull red.

The owner drove me home, and I'm headed back up there in a few hours. He is going to give me a bay to take each corner apart and get them freed up if possible to get the car back home. New calipers and lines all around next.
