Yeah, I'm pretty close to bittimg the bullet on the wheels, I just wish I find them local so I could try out a few different size tires. Maybe I'll just order the wheels.

Ash, I don't really have any experience but I was thinking of building a trail around my back yard. What is velocross? Is that like a dirt velodrome?

So Velocross is a race that my club puts on. It's a cyclocross race that's part velodrome, part BMX track and part singletrack.

Cool. Drop me a message when the date gets closer. I don't have anything now and it is less than 10 minutes from my house. Some of the guys I ride with were talking about taking a lesson at the velodrom on fixies at some point. One of them used to organize the BMX track when his son was into it. I'm actually heading over to the bike shop today to look at a $150 road bike that the shop owner will convert to single-speed for me if I'm interested.


After extensive searching, I cannot conculsively verify the size of the wheels on that Aussi Ute. All I know is that they are either 195/75R14 or 195/75R15 since those are the only two small sizes that tire comes in. I did find this photo below which I know is 195/75R14. It's probably a good gauge as to what the wheels will look like, except that this wheel is 4 lug with a small hub.

I also know that these are also 195/75R14.

What's happening folks?

Had a chili cookoff yesterday at my friends' house. I took 2nd out of 16. Pretty shocked about that. My goal when making it was to make it hurt someone, so I used a full ghost chili and a full habanero. Wasn't anywhere near as hot as I hoped for, but did taste pretty good.
