Gonna go fuel-up with 89 oct (regular is 85-86 here) to see if it makes a difference with the ZFR5F plugs.![]()
I doubt you'll notice a difference using higher-octane gas, the plugs themselves should produce a noticeable difference with regular gas. Unless you have an MP3 ECU that you're not telling us about.
Ive read alot before switching plugs. I read from trustworthy sources that it relocates the ignition point and thus advances timing by a LITTLE bit. not expecting nascar performance, but yea MP3 ECU is definitively on its way this summer,

I finally got around to working on my car, the new fuel pump body is in, read about it here. I'm glad to be driving my P5 again, for the past couple days I've been using my land-yacht (aka Le Maxima) because I couldn't stand the gas fumes in traffic anymore.

you're a better man than me, i just dropped mine off at the shop, i don't have any time to mess with it right now and to be honest...really didn't want to do that job
the shop is going to pump out the gas, i was going to buy one of those small shop pumps but what would i ever use it for again? i don't think i would have done this with gas still in the tank though?

Drove it. Front clunk noise is worse now and on both sides. Gong to have to get under it again and taje stuff off and see What I find ..
On another note from 3 k to 5k my car is holding back and hesitating once it hits 5k it picks up power back up as if it had hit vtec like a Honda lol here is a vid.
What could it be ?

^That seems pretty normal to me, there isn't much power to be had before ~5k RPM. Keep in mind that at 5250 RPM the VICS system kicks in so you might just be noticing that...
