I Fenton can do a simple mod to the rad that would be awesome. I don't have pockets nearly as deep as Brian. heh-heh

neps- I'll check it out after work and report back.

or have something done like on Brian_mp5t

that works great till you have to connect the other side of the hose. you would need to have a few things welded in order to have the proper fittings on both sides, second AN16 fittings and hose are not cheap. I though about doing the same thing..

I just love this car... It's so nice walking out to a car in the parking lot without any rusty eye sores. The rust on my old P5 was like herpes on a super hot girl.

The plan is to wait for the GT Spec trailing arms to come in (a couple more weeks) then swap the suspension and get everything dialed in and an alignment. Then pull the FS-DE and sell off the parts on it to finance the KL swap. The MegaSquirt ECU should be shipping out from the GB very shortly here. The only thing I want to do differently this time around is the aluminum radiator, a better coolant temp solution for the fans and mount them as pushers. Should be a hoot and I can't wait to start wrenching.

doesn't the turbo go roughly where the battery used to be? unless he's twin turbo-ing ( lol ) the only thing in the way will be the exhaust manifold.
Do you have a exhaust manifold yet? This is the part I am oh so curious about...

^Yeah, most of the kits I've seen place the turbo where the battery is on the 626. I mean heck, this guy still has the stock fans on his Probe, lulz!

Yes headlamps...sorry parts guy abbreviation lol HDLP = headlamp...just one question though do the amber corners have a socket and bulb and work for you as parking lamps?

Currently, no they do not work. I had them working for a while as i just had to modify the left over harness from the bumper signals (ie cut a tab off a connector), but she had some work done to the front bumper and the body shop did something and i could never find the harness plug as i think its part of the fog light harness.

Teeson and Wes, I'm mounting them as pushers just for the extra clearance. And there is more room on the Probes in the engine bay than the P5's. I don't have manifolds yet, that will come in time with the turbo parts. Hopefully I can find some quality hot pipes a small might still make. Or else I'll just get the eBay kit and ask Josh to go over the welds again and double check everything.

Korey, thanks for answering his questions and for the heads up on the lights. I'll sort them out when I pull the motor.

Rep, I put the KL in my Milly and sold the chassis.

Shae, thanks for the offer but I'll just find some delete strips. :)

I ordered 5 rear wiper delete plugs from Honda if anyone is interested in buying one. Here's the info;
http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/show...iper-delete/page2&highlight=rear+wiper+delete

5? i ordered a nice Porsche one for mine.. threads together and is made from plastic with a gasket.. and i should have an answer about your delete strips soon.. ;)

Yeah, I only need the one but figured there was interest in the last thread about them and you know how lazy some members are so I just ordered a couple extra and will put them up for sale.

And thanks for looking into the delete strips. We were wrenching on my friends P5 this weekend and I was like "Ahhh! I want those!". haha

Other than that, I drove her to Josh's to weld the little crack in the header and he gave me his old super stubby antennea since I hate the factory long ones and I'm pulling the stereo anyway. And he saw the GT Spec trunk cage and said "I've still got the front GT Spec strut bar if you want to match?" My friends know I'm OCD, so he gave me a good deal on it. So the CorkSport front and rear bars will be for sale too.

Then I drove it to a Mazda meet Saturday and got awesome gas mileage. Marc had a very good point of just driving it with the FS-DE at the track until it pops. Then swapping in the KLDE. Especially since I need to work on my driver mod. And I just got AAA so the tow would be cheap.

Oh and speaking of KLDE, the shop JDM Engine Zone didn't have any when Slip was gracious enough to go take pics of one for me. They said someone must have bought them up this week. Riiiiiight. Check your inventory, foo! They said it might be another month until some more come in. So I might look elsewhere.

Just waiting for the GT Spec trailing arms to come in so I can swap the suspension. I'll focus on the Mazda6 brake setup while waiting for the motor. I want it running for June 9th for the Mazda Corral at Mid-Ohio anyway.

Sorry this is so long without any pics.

0h- and bought some AWR side motor mounts used from Steve (UCMP3) for a good deal.

You're on a spending spree and I'm enjoying every last bit of it! Oh and I can only imagine that trunk cage in black. Mmmmmmm. Maybe you can plasti dip it to see how it would look? :D

Orange FTW...it looks so good in that color i cant see why you would want it any other color especially since its a nice focal point at the rear of the car thats otherwise pretty boring

IF....and thats a big if....you were to do it in any sort of black getting it sprayed with rhino liner would be a thought....not plastidip

(squinty)

I agree that the original GTSpec orange looks great but it doesn't flow with the car in my opinion. Besides, the strut bar brackets are in the GTSpec blue and not orange. I said plastidip because he can easily peel it off if he doesn't like the look. Rhino liner doesn't come off quite as easy :D
