Here's who I blame for high gas prices

Ya the deductible thing sucks which is why I'm glad my fiance can be on her moms insurance. Where's she works it's 1500 deductible that we would have to pay out of pocket before insurance covers anything. Insulin isn't cheap each of her prescriptions for insulin are $400 each plus her metphorman and test strips. It doesnt take a genius to add up how much that is I just know we couldn't afford it your looking at $1000 a month

What's really screwing the government spending is all the people on welfare and food stamps and Medicaid. People that are on Medicaid/ Medicare get thousands of dollars worth of prescriptions a month. One thing Obama did was turn us into a food stamp nation if nobody is working in a family of a married couple with 3 kids they get $780 a month in food stamps while living in an income based housing which they get paid 60 bucks a month to live there. If one of them goes to college and get fasfa they can get 4-5k a semester for expenses on top of everything else.

That is what's draining the economy, why work when you can get paid to live in an apartment and eat better than I do. I'm not saying Obama is great by any means I'm saying he has done a better job than bush. I'd rather have Clinton getting his dick sucked doing a good job runing the country than bush or Obama or any of the candidates that are runing

I will agree with you there. Obama has raised the amount of people on welfare,but that's what dems do......that's how the get votes. The more people you get to depend on you of course they will vote for you. My wife contracts to clean apartments for move in. She cleans apartments that are brand new and destroyed because they are section 8....welfare apartments. They live in brand new apartments for free and completly destroy them. They have it better than most people busting their ass for a living and trying to make ends meet. They don't pay for them so they don't care. I thought you had your head in the sand with Obama,but you do see the wrong he's doing. He really is hurting the middle class big time. My insurance is thru the roof since since Obamacare is taking effect. While your wife is seeing the positive,and god bless her,most americans are getting really hurt by this. In Texas we tried to pass a law to show your ID when voting and the DOJ is trying to stop it. Why? So the illegals here can vote. Obama is counting on the illegals for another term. DOJ wouldn't go after the Black Panthers for voting intemidation in the last election because Holder said "we won't go after our own people" and now a bounty on Zimmerman by the Panthers with no responce by the DOJ. I'm sorry,but this is the most corrupt admin I've ever seen and Obama gets away with it. The older generation can see it and the younger just flows with it.....what's in it for me attitude. God bless your wife and I honestly hope she gets what she needs for her condition,but the overall cost of all americans it's not good at all. Way too many people will suffer.

We barely get by as it is because we make too much we can't get any government assistance combined we made 40k last year. Social services said if we had a kid they could help, basicly influencing us to have a kid we can't afford and add another poverty family. Honestly if they would do away with everything more people would actually want to work which would be more tax payers and better economy

one president that actually did something was Roosevelt (plus he got shot in the middle of one of his speeches and finished the speech before he left the stage) and all the s*** he had set up during the depression
welfare and that those hand outs were suppose to be temporary but if you kill the programs that hand out money to the lazy/drug dealers/illegals then you are a bad guy
my sister is a lawyer who is liberal, he hates Obama and says half the s*** he passes is unconstitutional
he passed or is trying to pass a law that all abortions (doesn't matter if you just dont want kids or if your kid wont make it) you have to get a 3d sonogram which consists of jamming a sonacating probe (a device that creates sound waves) into the uterus IIRC, but its embarrassing, unnecessary and jumps up the cost

and executive orders are bulls***
the president is only suppose to be a military leader not a law making body

and gas is at 3.99 for reg at the cheapest place in my town

Same boat bud. I lost my job 2 years ago. I'm pulling in 45k less a year now. Holding onto my house by my fingernails. The wife and I have busted our ass to get what we have and now it all could be gone. This is the only admin that has hurt us so bad and i'll be 50 this year. For the past 3 years I've been trying to get into offshore drilling,but things are completely shut down. I have a buddy that works offshore and they can't do crap. Everytime they drill the gov stops them with new regulations. There's alot you don't know and I know first hand. He lies about oil production. We do produce more oil on private ownership not federal. He doesn't say that. He has NO control over private lands. Just like he said he approved the pipeline for an area I honestly can't remember right now,but he has no authorization to approve or disapprove that pipeline. He has no say so at all,but he played it up like he does. The man lies and twists things all the time and he's big time corrupt. If he gets re-elected we are all going down. America and our fore fathers dream are gone. There's no re-election for him so no holds barred.

He has said that he doesn't care what congress does. He will pass what he wants by executive order. Very unconstitutional, but he gets away with it.

We exported more gas and other fuels than anything else last year. The last new refinery was built in 1979. So drilling and adding more oil production won't do s*** to lower the gas prices with refineries being shut down now, no new ones being built and US making gas and other fuels are #1 export. Not saying its not needed simply that it won't help as things stand right now and for the foreseeable future.

I don't know about you Jeff, but it kills me.... Anything I have to go see a doctor about is out of pocket. It has been for a year now. I will have to pay 1500 out of pocket (higher for families) until the company does a co-pay.

High Deductible plans suck for me since I am 100% totally healthy and have no issues......

Well I haven't done too much research on them but did read somewhere that after you hit your deductible, costs were paid 100%...guessing that this is dependent on your carrier and seeing where the industry is going, going to guess that within a short amount of time noone will be paying 100%, if they even still do. Right now I pay $285 a month for just med. coverage with a $25/$40 co-pay for doctors/specialists, $250 deductible per family member and after that is hit, I'm repsonsible for 25% of the bill and includes er visits/surgeries/lab work/x-rays, mri's, etc. So I'm paying out $3420 a year just for premiums whether I use it or not and a potentail $1000 on top of that should any/all of us need to get other services done + 25% of the remaining balance + co-pays. Tam hit her deductible on Jan 4th this year! She had an mri done and after discounts (what a joke) the balance was $258...two weeks later she had a bone scan done and my 25% portion of the bill was just over $700. So for January alone I was out $285 for the premium, $258 for the mri, +$700 for the bone scan, $65 for co-pays ($40 for the specialist that ordered the mri and $25 for her family doctor that ordered the bone scan) and another $50+ for my 25% portion for the techs that performed each test. I'm def. in the wrong line of work...I should have gotten into insurance!

I just hope something gets done soon the only jobs in my area for young people are temp jobs where get treated like s***. I've worked a total of 8 weeks this year if that tells you anything about temps. Everybody wants experience but how are you supposed to have experience if you can't get a job because you don't have any? us young people are ****** from the get go. It's not just Obama either its all the members of congress we need to clean house and start all over. Gas is supposed to keep going up through memorial day I'm guessing we will see close to 5 bucks a gallon looks like I'll be eating even less when food prices go up even more...

I just paid $4.039(93 oct) and spent the most ever on a fill up. Even more than when I used to fill it up with Sunoco GT 100 race fuel back in 2003. So "F" everything responsible that I mentioned in post #61 with a hot jagged poker!

Feeling your pain, just filled the 3 up this morning and was the most expensive take to date at $43.25 and that's for 87 octane @ $3.75 a gallon. I filled up at the same station on 3/26 for $3.59 a gallon!

I'm really glad I fixed my head gasket, wheel bearing, got new tires, and removed my a/c. I was getting terrible mileage before I fixed all that stuff. Gas here has been jumping from 3.50 to as high as 4.35 for 93.

Gas where I am right now is like $4.30 a gallon for regular. Yikes...

This is both because the NW has high gas prices (I'm assuming shipping it here is expensive?) and we are about 10 miles from the Canadian boarder so every Canadian and thEHir brother comes down for gas, driving the prices up a bit more.

Me wanna chime in! My moms got an 07 Jeep GC, sue goes maybe 4 miles round trip a day to her work and gets 12 mpg. Since she does such little driving though, she gets away with $60 a month... On her pay though, that still gets her. Both my parents are Brits though so they know a bit about gas prices. If I get my P5 soon, I'll be taking the bus to school and maybe driving it to work... I plan on biking every other day to get to work. This summer I'll be at my dads office and I can probably carpool with him for a few weeks... I just think its stupid that we're we're getting ****** by our gov. Pardon me if im not being very PC, im only 17 so please, dont take what I say too much to heart, and I mean that.

Im kinda upset that that we dont have a metro transit system. I mean, the once big three ****** us over on that. They could've built the tracks and carriages and all and made bank off that but noooo, they'd rather us buy their cars which have competition than have a sure fire way of making a bit of money here and there. They could still be supporting Detroit and all but nope, greed blinded them too...

Your 17 and have no bills try having bills plus making a 40-60 sometimes 100 mile trip a day if I work both jobs. I'm lucky though we have a 30 mpg car and a 32-40 mpg( depending on its mood) car. I feel sorry for the idiots that have a truck and get 14mpg on a good day

^^^^you don't need a truck to get that kind of gas mileage just get an rx8...swear i only drive mine once week if its lucky because of the gas prices.

Not having bills to pay does make me happy but its only for now. Im getting away with my $20 extra a month on a phone bill cause my dad wants me to put money away. I get $120 every two weeks plus tips, that $120 is gonna go to insurance pretty soon... My dad said something like $1400 for 6 months' insurance if I had the P5 in my name? I think that's ridiculous... I just laugh at my friends who DO have cars and their parents pay for their gas... Good luck later on in life when gas is super high and your parents can't afford it. Some people would be in a world of hurt w/o mommy and daddy. I hate to say, I'd probably struggle no doubt about that. Im kinda mad my dad didn't lease an RX8 before these prices went up. Instead he got a Vibe GT. That was when he was fun.
