NEMOC Random BS Thread

Taking delivery on the CX-9 Monday! I cant believe the room that thing has even in the third row! It has a thin pin stripe around it, but its actually pretty nice the wife likes it. Its red and black pin stripe with a little mazda symbol in the front on each side and then on the back it says Sport... The wife likes it. Shes never been excited about a new car, EVER!! So this is huge, shes like a little kid getting that pink bike with the pink tassles, basket and bell! I cant wait for the winter to play in the snow with it!!

Nice Tony. Hmm maybe we need to change your name???

Replaced the front pads and rotors on Mary's Focus. Very easy to do. Also replaced the front endlinks as they were worn.

Mary's Focus is running well, with 140k on the clock. Best car I've ever owned for reliability.

ya, the first trip out of your hands..it's a tough one...i remember robin came back with the protege and was so upset because she scraped the underside of the car on one of the concrete tire stops in the parking lots....i played it up for a few mins... then told her i did the same thing the day before! she do fine!!
On the wives notes Mi wife scratched the rear right fender of the Mazda backing up her Mercedes I flipped. By the way just installed the OE rims that I sent to powder coating this is how they look...

damn.. tony made two decisions in one week?

Even though it is no longer 500 million, I might be buying more lottery tickets.

oh ya, good morning ya'll...boy that short shifter by miata roadseter is great! i can actually shift to 3rd gear from second "real" fast and no fear of ending up in 4th! new spark wires tonight! woot!!

Morning folks!

Had a little fun with the MSM yesterday. It's amazing... even with sticky tires, it still breaks them loose in first when rolling on the throttle.

just called tire rack to exchange my 205s for 215s and they only have 3 in stock at the distribution center down the street. so im not sure if i should just keep my 205s and have the little bit of stretch (which i do like the look of). or wait and get the slightly bigger tire for slightly less revs on highway and they would be $28 cheaper. no eta on the tires coming into stock though

With the stretch look, does it expose the lip of your wheels to potential curbing? I'd be worried about that the most.

REPU Update:

Just went to the RMV this morning and got my temp plate for the REPU. I stopped at the town hall to do the actual registration but I need a VIN verification. Guess that'll have to wait until the truck actually arrives. It should arrive in the next few days.

Oh, and you know me, I've already been scoping out audio equipment. I've got two directions I'm researching. One would be to source vintage gear on eBay and the other would be to just use new stuff. The problem with vintage gear is I would be doing some hacking to get an aux-input for the iPod...or I'd be looking at shopping for 8-tracks at the flea market or making my own cassette mix tapes.

When it comes to new gear, Crutchfield sells a pretty cool retro radio that had a digital display and will play music off a USB drive. It's very tempting since I believe the truck only has an AM radio right now.

As far as speakers go, I'll build some fiberglass kickpanels for the front stage and I'll see what can be done behind the seat for a little bass.

Nice! I was looking at something like that for the Bavaria. If I can find links again, I'll share.

nepoc meet at gillette???
