well, you will lose you aribag when replacing the oem wheel with an aftermarket one and also the horn on some models. Im still working on getting mine working. lol
dont cheap out on a wheel if you do get one. get a brand name like sparco, momo, nardini, personal, etc. stay away from that ebay crap that bends in your hands.
you would need a hub to attach to the car, a quick release, the wheel and of course the lock. its best to stay with the same company when buying the hub, quick release, and lock. that way you wont have any issues.

I would NEVER recommend Peal and Seal for in car, ever. The adhesive is not strong enough, the foil is too thin and again, asphalt is not a good vibration dampener. There are countless car audio people (regardless of system size) that have put Peal and Seal in their doors and in 2 years or less it has fallen off and it is at the bottom of the door. Seriously, don't recommend it, it is the wrong tool for the job. Do it right the first time, it is always cheaper in the long run.

What should you use, just dynomat or are there alternatives?

Prepping the summer wheels! Decided to paint the letters in gloss black; really happy with the way it turned out!! Now I just have to wait 48 hours for the paint to dry, and then I have to bake the wheels to cure the paint (lol2) you shoulda seen my wife's face when I told her I was gonna put my wheels in the oven!

I wasn't aware that any companies made direct fir hub and quick releases for the Protege's. Or do you have to use a Miata or RX7 hub of a certain year?

yep direct fit for the pros. also the same hub as the rx-8, rx-7 (86-02) and miata. although the miata hubs need a very slight notching to make it fit on some models.

I used a 2oz bottle of gloss enamel with a small tip to squeeze the paint out onto the VERY small tip of a metal painter's stylus and applied one drop at a time. I used the stylus to spread the paint around and fill in the letters. It worked better than I had envisioned!

What's the point of the metal base for the fan's? Enhancing the effect of the fans?

Its so that the all the air passing though can be pulled from the fans. and not just flow through the radiator.


Picked up a MSP lip, right now I am fitting the chargespeed lip on it before the MSP lip gets painted.

The Shroud comes with a gasket, 100% of the air will have to go out those two holes. Don't forget, even though the rad has a huge surface area. Because the fins occupy the majority of it, a smaller area is the actual size of the passage.
If you calculate the actual size and subtract the fins you will get an area less than the size of the holes in the shroud.

I have been waiting FOREVER to get one of these. like 2 1/2 years. I picked up the paint to color match the side skirts, and lip. Not sure when its going to get painted. but im happy to have the lip! Also predrilled the holes to fit the CS lip-lip. =)
