The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Too much for what, 400whp?

i really dont know your goals, but for the size of the motor an m62 fits best. the stock grand prix gtps came with an m62, and they were the 3.8 l. if youre gonna try with just a 2.5 l, more power to ya, but an m62 will be plenty with a ground down pulley, and maybe a larger crank.

Ahhh, good times. I almost got scammed yesterday at work from a "debt collection agency" for $800. They couldn't give me any proof I owed any debt so I told them to mail me something. This fellow basically yelled at me on the phone saying they would send a summons to court in Summit County for me. I replied with "Well, if a cop shows up at my work tomorrow at least I'll know you're legit." Click.

So I checked my credit report (you get a free report every year from Annual Credit Report.com ) so if you don't already keep an eye on your credit report, this one is free. I haven't checked mine in many, many years. (I'm so stupid!) and I found out my car loan is showing a balance of $796. I went to my bank this morning (First Merit, who I also had my loan from) and they agree it was paid in full in 2010. So now I have to get my credit report fixed.

Moral of the story, no wonder my credit is so crappy. A lot of it was incorrect! So don't be stupid like me, check that s***, yO! :)

You will start off in HPDE 1, if you do well enough, the instructor may sign you off into HPDE 2.....

Ya definitely start off in HPDE1. Even if you have a lot of experience, it never hurts to have an instructor. Since it looks like you only have Autox experience, 1 is a great place to start. Also, IMO road racing is definitely a different experience compared to Autox. You have to be very smooth with all of your inputs...especially steering.

I can't wait to go back to Mid-Ohio this year!!!! You will LOVE it.

From what I was seeing after a bit of light researching, most of the guys were around 260-ish whp with the M62. I'd like to be around 200whp n/a and 300 with the s/c on. All of this is way in the future of course, I need a KL first... lawl

we're trying to fix something similar with Amber's last car loan, she paid it and they applied to a different account so her credit took a small hit. Of course they fixed her payment on the loan but not on the credit report. I'm also due to check mine, thanks for the reminder!

Good lord, that's a lot of parts. Why are you taking the dash out?

So I don't set the car on fire while welding to the post and firewall. lol There's sound deadening material that lays RIGHT up against the inside of the firewall.

Tonight's the night! Gender reveal party! What color is the cake gonna be, blue or purple??

I know Marlon's answer. (lol2)

Blurple. Oh wait, that would make he/she an "it". Yikes. I say girl too. "I'm with Marlon", right? heh-heh

Lulz had by all!

ps- Why do people "sub" to part out threads? And why do people only list one or two (poorly spelled) sentences when posting ads in Craigslist? Ugh.

So on the serious........

After a couple weeks with work and having convos with my boss, I am essentially putting up the Miata for sale. I will be on travel a lot this year and the car will not be driven because of this to enjoy it.... I hate to get rid of it because I love the car, but I hate to see it sit and rot away. However, I do want to keep it in the family and for friends.

Phen and others know this car and have seen it in person. The car is perfect, flawless, runs like a champ, and everything else. A few others from the Ohio/NEPOC crew have seen it and know how I baby it.

Info:

2004 MSM
40k miles
Flyin' Miata Big Enchilada Kit
949 15x9 rims and tires
Hard Dog Hardcore Rollbar installed.

never raced, autox'd, etc.......
