I'll only be doing a couple of events, mostly the ones at the Toledo airport, I want to find the limits of the car. I've been doing some research to see what is needed for a full season and try to find some sponsorship but I don't want to stay in auto-x. A full auto-x season with the Toledo guys will be around $1,400, that's entry fees and gas, no special tires or brakes or mods. I'm still not done with the road course numbers, but doing a season in TT with the NASA great lakes group would be over 8K... of course I need to move up the HPDE chain first.
It sucks being poor, so I'm looking into the sponsorship thing to get things going
Josh, I'm always up for a road trip if you want to go get a Mazda6 that's out of town. The Milly is great for cruising on the highway. And I don't have a social life so I'm always free.
Noted! I'd have to see if there was anyone in that area who could check that one out for me before hand. That's a LONG drive to find out it's not as nice as the pictures make it seem. lol

yeah, I've done some of those. They had a lot of bulls*** go down that I didn't want to be a part of, but it would be a cheaper option for sho. I'd like to go to the Ledges with Torqued Racing again or just a regular fun day, rather do this that auto-x but alas, I has no roll bar
I'm sure Lauri has family in Jersey, maybe you can ask her if they wouldn't mind checking it out first? Or ask in the P5 thread for any Jersey help. But really, I like road trips, one of the reasons I liked touring with my old band so much. I like driving, especially with a good stereo in the car. So I'm definitely down for that. Plus I owe you.

yeah, most of that money is already gone... my sister's graduation is more important than a roll bar (I'll be in Tampa for a week). I'll have enough for a set of paradas, already got an MBC from Marlon and maybe an intake. Trying to reduce my debt instead of buying toys
I have yet to see any groups 2012 autox schedules... shouldn't they be starting to organize that?
New tires, possibly new brakes and that is it for me. I'm hoping <$700 will allow me to have a lot of fun this summer in terms of performance driving. Whether it be hyperdrives, HPDE1, autocross, or a combo of all of them!
Edit: More than anything, I'd like to ride along more this year to get a feel for it. I was too tentative last season in my Hyperdrive because honestly I've never driven anywhere close to that sort of style

schedules are already out, I'll open a new thread later. I'll let you know when I go to a NORA event and you can ride along
I'm with Chippy if my fat ass can go for any ride alongs this year to get a better understanding of driving, lines and increasing my driver mod. I'll be rocking the Milly this summer so no performance driving for me. Plus I'm a poser anyway, right Peaches? (kiss)

Guy emailed me this morning....I was a day late and a dollar short AGAIN! Sold it last night.
Still waiting on a call from the dealer, otherwise, I'm going to ask my dad to check into one for me. He works at a Chevy dealership, so maybe he can ask his salesman buddies if they can check out the auctions for me.
