What kind of stuff did you have to take care of?

My advise would be a used 600 for a first bike. We have always had good luck with Yamaha (R6) or the Suzuki GSX-R600. Anything more than that is a lot for a first bike and not neccessary untill you skill actually warrants being able to ride it. The other reason is (and anyone with a bike hates to admit it, but it happens to everyone) you will drop the bike. In the garage, in a parking lot, or even in your driveway. It happens and its easier to get over if the bike is not new.
Honda makes a good motor, but the riding position is very uncomfortable for me (pegs are high so your knees are way up to your chest/ shoulders). Ducati's are nice, but way over priced and lack the performance and handling you can get out of a Japanese bike for less money.
Again thats just my opinion from riding them and having owned a few bikes.
ugh. commence hair pulling in 3...

i just met a young man yesterday and he showed a pic of the same bike...he actually has two ducati's
you da man! nice work!Just a side note... My best friend came home today from his 4th tour overseas.
I, with his wife's help, built him a PC while he was gone. He has been complaining about his old one for a few years now. I just got off the phone with him and this is his response to the PC: "If you were a woman I'd be divorced and married to you now." I'm guessing he likes it. A lot.
whats the elect problem?small electrical problem and a small water leak. Or at least I hope small.

Hey Tony...the Type-S wheels? I was looking at them a few years ago but they won't work on the P5...you might have better luck with the sedan in the rear but I'm going to say you'll still want to roll maybe even pull the fenders both front and rear. What size tire were you thinking of?
I agree with you on the 250. You will get bored very quickly. A 600 is the perfect size to start, just take it easy to start. It will last you two or three years at least. Some guys love the 600 and never feel the need to jump up, I prefered the 1,000 because it was less work on the highways and I didn't have to shift as much going through the loops in the back roads. Downside is that it is easy to do something stupid with that much power, like say do 154 mph coming home from the shore.Good points Luke, I've been told so as well. I found for 3k brand new 09 ninja 250's , they way to slow but the body looks of a full size one.
I need garage to store it and keep it away from "5 finger discount" specialists.
I like 848 for its stance/look and its more of a unique style than anything since it's not wise to risk to drop that piece but enjoy riding it.
Sorry to hear Jeff.
My plan is to get a set of 17x8 whatever offset that will fit in protege and your right I'm not looking for the type-S instead the premium wheels that TL has, one reason for looking at them is they are 5 spoke and attractive design and silver color that would match w/ silver MSP w/o their center cap though
Tires will be 235x45x17 , nitto's most likely , need some cushion from pot holes and what not on the road and to somewhat easy the sensitive coilovers.
They would be dedicated summer wheels by the way.
On a another notice, if anyone knows someone or has a need for 96-98 civic front head lights I need to get rid of a brand new set that's been in my closed for few yr's, check my sig. for the link.
How much for the headlights?

I miss summer, my bike and my car now. Thanks a lot!
So I had my first performance review yesterday even though I've only been here for 3 months. Nothing bad really, but my boss (who lives in WI btw) just gave an overview of what the reviews are about and asked me to do a self-evaluation to see if there is anything I need to work on. Now he is gone and it's back to the grind.
Starting next week I get to travel a lot. Wheeee. Going to TN for a week, Canada for 3-4 weeks, and then TX for a couple of weeks.
anyone know any software engineers/tech support peeps/marketing peeps?
My work is hiring a bunch of people...
