The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

I guess you're not "moderately lowered and functional" then, mate.

That does suck though. Will you have to buy a new bumper or can you run some zipties under there where no one will see?

That sux Droopy...wish you luck in fixing it!

Back to tires...I understand they have been approved for the road but considering I like to push my car at times, I'll take the peace of mind of having a better quality tire. IMO the cheaper tires are good for non-enthusiast drivers....but that said, I've never owned a set...just voicing my opinion.

Then I retract my statement for I am on S-Techs as well. Stupid snow screwing up everyone's cars!

sorry, I'm just being a dick, but I found it ironic that "fender gap" was mentioned in this thread. and further comedic that it wasn't being used in its typical meaning.

not always, i bought cheap tires for my ms6's to run this past summer and they were great! They gripped the road to the point i didnt want to push the car anymore on a public road and the tires were still gripping

its all about the research, i found mine were made on the same line as yokohama advans (at half the price) so i figured they couldnt be a bad tire haha

^^^^Well now you and Marc have chimed in with some success stories. Always good to learn these things as it could save $$$$ down the road. You are right though....it's about the research. Guess my bias comes from seeing/hearing a lot of people (in general...not specifically on this forum or others I frequent) complain about price so they buy the cheapest tire they can find...period.

well i was counting pennies when i bought my tires (that whole local tax thing blindsided me :( ) so i just called around to find out what budget tires local shops were selling and then went to see if i could dig up any info on any of them haha

I remember that...local taxes suck. Well at least you found a good quality tire that met your needs. :)

i dont have them anymore, sold the ms6's to a friend so she will get to enjoy them on her car

had to ditch something to get the OZ's haha

and to get us somewhat back on topic
heres some more recent pics of the car since i havent posted pics of it since page 2 haha

Cheap tires are relative. There are plenty of quality performance tires in the $90-$130 each range that I would call cheap and still perform very well. When you look at $200+ tires, $100 is pretty cheap. ;)

is that your winter set up?

yeah i wish i was so baller that i had a set of OZ Superleggera's for my winter set hahaha

like ucMP3 said, i picked em up and wanted to run em a couple weeks before i put them away for the winter haha
they are coming off this weekend and the winters will be going on at that point
