How To: Remove your 03.5 MSP lip

Welcome to the board!

I like the look of it too, but some people prefer the look of the '03 MSP's without the lip. I've actaully considered removing or at least modifying the lip on mine to allow for the use of the factory fog lights they deleted for '03.5.

mmm so the 03.5 uses the exact same bumper as the 03?

correct me if i am wrong, but from the looks, the 03.5, mp5, n mp3 share the same bumper. yay! wat a bargain for the p5. lol.

The P5 Front is on the MSP with a Lip attached...

To be technically correct, the MP3 (or MPS, if ya want) bumper is on the P5 and the MSP.

Anyone have an easy way to get a lip on? I might just be retarded, but I can't figure out how to get in on there.

this is what worked the best for me.
it's easy to scratch the bumper and the lip if you do the install on the ground.
plus this way it's much easier to align the bumper and the lip.

(yes, i am a genious, thank you)

Is it nessecary to remove the front bumper to install a msp lip on my mp3.
no, but it will make it hell of a lot easier.
front bumper is not that hard to remove or put back on.

to take the lip off wil i have to remove the bumper. if not what would be the steps to do so. and can i use the foglight grilles even without the lip?

^ cant use the grills. u have to purchase the canadian grill inserts that fit MP3 and P5 front bumpers.

you can take the lip off without taking the bumper off, but it will be a pain in the ass.
easier (and faster) to take the bumper off.
u will also not run into a problem of braking things as you bend them to gain access to the bolts......if you do it without the bumper off.

how does the lip get attached? just clips in or what?

because i like the lip more and more i look at it
and 200 compared to 250 for the dgm lip is a plus too
