Any photographers in here?

still messing around with night photos. Nothing great here, but here are two photos. Looking for suggestions on improving. Really need to get the friggin' Capture NX2 software so I can do some HDR stuff. This Nikon Picture Project is really hurting me, lol.

Your white balance looks off. The first one looks slightly warm with a green cast. The second one looks very warm. Try adjusting the white balance to make the lighting white or even slightly cooler than white, and I bet you'll like the results!

Awesome! Thanks man. I'll try that out tonight or tomorrow after school. Much appreciated!

I'm guessing your ISO was up fairly high as well. I see a lot of noise. Use a tripod or someplace steady with a low ISO setting for a cleaner photo.

Well, that one took some work... plus, the important thing is that it was exposed correctly in the camera.

Actually my ISO was at 200 (lowest on D50). Also I had this on a tripod with camera being set at 30-second exposure.

Question: at night, do I want to go for overexposure or underexposure?

overexpose. carefully/slightly. it doesnt take much to overexpose and get a washed out pic.

Roger that. Thanks!

EDIT: WE'RE ON PAGE 666 NAO! lulz Do I have to post evil photos now?

nice perspective Zooms. great job on the shutter speed, think it could use a little more highlight in the water to make it pop more..
