Morning all! Back to the grind after a week off (furlough week). It's actually our normal shutdown for this week and next week so there are only 3 other people at work other than me, haha.

Wrapping up our trip to the homeland. Breakfast with my daughter this morning abd start heading home

So your Co. shuts down this time every year Jenn? I thought it was due to economic reasons.

I hear you though about the office. It's very quiet here and the roads were deserted on my way in.

Enjoy breakfast Bruce and have a safe trip home!

Yeah we usually shut down for 2 weeks during the summer. This year we had to add a 1 week furlough at the beginning of it due to economic reasons. When I started 2 years ago, we had so much business overall that we only shut down 1 week.. my department even pulled people in early to work during that week. This year my department is working the 2 shutdown weeks to keep up with demand, the other departments are all shut down.

OMG! Some folks I know posted their photos from this years HIN this past weekend. Total EPIC Fail! 95% Rice O' Matic. I'm soooo glad I did not make the long journey to see it. Not that any other local show is better, but come on now...HIN is supposed to be the best of the best, no?

A couple examples.

Speaking of car shows, it's really kind of sad but our local classic car shows have better looking cars than these modern shows. In fact, I was at one Sat night, did not enter the show, but I parked just outside the coned area and since everyone was looking at my car I opened it up for all to see and sure enough I had tons of comments and questions. These guys are great and have beautiful pristine cars, some modded as well.

I must be getting old. ;)

the only car shows I seem to enjoy going to these days are the vintage car shows. The owners tend to be nicer and less judgmental.

chris, you should come out to see the wednesday night cruises in colchester on the green.

next one is july 21st, and they're doing the last one of the season at dodd stadium in norwich.

Exactly! Now I have 2 local cars shows to attend each week. This past Sat was too packed to take photos. Going to convince my buddy to bring his classic Couger next time.

Shows like Whaling City, etc. are fun because I get to hang out with you guys, otherwise I could really care less about trophies and such. These local shows are much more relaxed.

And get full of sulfates....

that explains a lot!
haha....(loser)

so i go water sking sat...everythings cool...i hit a wake kinda bad and take a mild tumble....get back up and all of a sudden and i mean sudden, i get this massive headache in the back of my head! i'm like okay, this will go away, maybe got up out of the water too fast, hadn't eaten yet, no water...maybe this will just go away as quick as it came on...nope, had to let go of the rope and laid in the water for 15 mins before i could even think of getting back in the boat. went away after about 25 mins, but i had a lingering monor headace until this morning...carzy!(crazy) i feel fine today?(dunno)

Depending on the speed you were going water can have the same effect as if you hit pavement... you may have given yourself a little bump on the head
