I'm having my engine rebuilt and the technician brought in a fuel pressure soleniod. I can't think of any reason it would be a Mitsubishi part. My real question is, does anyone know where I can find either an aftermarket one or the original. I tried doing searches and nothing is coming up.

mitsubishi K5T49090 FS05 3224

Thos are the numbers on it.

mitsubishi is more than just a car company, they are also a major electronics company...
correct. The Japanese market is easily super saturated with a product when you have so many big names making them. Which is why Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Yamaha all make *much* more than cars. Suzuki and Yamaha make musical instruments for example. Mitsubishi also makes small gas engines for lawnmowers and pressure washers.

Just had the same problem when I ruined my runner control solenoids. The guys abov me are right though. Mitsubishi it a huge company and the make a ton of electronics, like our solenoids.

actually mitsubishi is a bank originally that went way horizontal in its markets

Actually, most big name Japanese companies are subsidized by the Japanese government,it's why Mitsubishi still makes cars. Apparently, the LCD manufactures have been price fixing too, actually.

BMW got it's start building planes in WWII, which is why their logo looks like a plane prop. Infact, most modern automotive manufactures, including Mercedes, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and ford all made airplane engines(most still do). Honda started with motorcycles post WWII as well, seeing as the destruction in Japan combined with a devastated economy meant mobile and cheap transportation was required most. Lamborghini started out converting military vehicles into tractors. Many of today's automotive successes owe their existence to the worst war in human history. Ironic isn't it?
