NEMOC Random BS Thread

Hear that one Jeff. Rotary dial. Had a laugh with my kids when they were young. Only had used push button phones. Went to their uncle's place in Montreal. He was cheap so he was still using pulse dialing, didn't want to pay the extra buck a month for tone. All his phones were rotary. The girls were trying to make a call and were just putting thier fingers in the empty holes to dial. They thought it was so cool when I showed them how it worked.

lol....I remember the old rotary phones as well. Only corded phone my daughter has ever known is the one in my office. She's always had cordless at home.

No, Russian phone service is throwing an empty vodka bottle through your neighbor's window, with a message inside.

At least you get the satisfaction of having emptied the bottle vs getting screwed by the phone co. lol

The P5 is making a clicking noise while turning at low speeds. I think the CV joints are starting to go. I wonder whether I can do a CV joint replacement on my own (After getting one of those reman fully assembled axles).

Not surprising with the mileage. Never done one. Take a look at the manual and see what's involved. For big stuff, that requires extra tools or heavy work, I usually get a garage to do it for me.

Just thought I'd mention this since I'm a meteorologist and I love snowstorms more than a fat kid loves cake....

Even though all the news outlets and The Weather Channel are forecasting a mostly sunny and dry weekend coming up there is a chance (less than 25%) that the northeast could get hit by a pretty substantial snowstorm. If any of you cares for, or is interested in, the details just ask and I'll start rambling, but to make a long story short...it's still a real possibility that it may snow but they're saying "sunny weekend" because they're pressured to make forecasts for 4 to 8 days out and any forecast past 3 days is so unreliable that they're safest by just picking the "most probable" outcome.

Let the anticipation begin!

let it snow!

taking tomorrow off as a personal day! my boss told me to take a day off this week as i have not taken on off since end of june!

heading to wachusett to ski for a couple hours in the AM then going to shop in the afternoon out in framingham/natick!

Eh, I'm not a big phone user. Guess I'm not so in tuned with the world as everyone else. Rather, I like not to be since I spend enough time at the computer. I upgrade every time my plan is running out and they send me the free stuff. Although last year I did chip in a bit more to get the LG DARE. The 3.2MP camera capability was top notch back then.

So at dinner time today the boys requested MOHAWKS for XMAS! I was totally for it! The wife not soo much, so while she wasnt looking.......

No joke man. I had a Pearl for about 3 days. I quickly offed that s***. hated it. I've had the 8703, the World, and now the Tour.

I had a 1g pearl for two years and loved the hell out of that phone. It was the phone that I used to update my life on the cross-country road trip.

I have the Bold now and LOVE it. I have to have buttons, I have an ipod touch for apps and games and whatnot, but the Bold is my go-to device no matter where I am.

I guess I went from a QWERTY to the Pearl and it bothered me. I have friends that love it, but they went from a standard phone, right to the Pearl. Meh, some like it, some hate it. More power to those who like it.

....morning everyone! well, getting ready for my first of many days on the slopes this winter!
