My first engine took a dump at 120k miles...not sure why yet, but I believe it spun a crank bearing. I had terrible lifter noise, so I decided to find a used engine so I could possibly keep myself from getting in too deep financially......
I did find one...with 66k miles...I checked it over as best as I could, oil all that kind of stuff, and everything looked good....until I took it home...and pulled the oil pan off..
Black Tar man...I think I could sell that product in the bottom as bearing grease! I am stuck with it, because it was a cheap purchase, and a 'as is', situation.
Any suggestions as to whether I should break this engine down too. Should i try some desludging procedures? I keep getting deeper and deeper into this car, and my intent was to simply get it back on the road, for as cheap as possible.
