Yeah, the motorized ones that run ~$260 are a bit pricey for what they do, IMHO. I can go old school & manually open/close the sucker, if the price is right.

i got mine a bit cheaper from japan via a friend. Y24150.

fitment and quality is absolutely perfect, because it's OEM. none of that metra or schosche crappy bulls***.

also had to make a mounting bracket for the garmin.

the audio is wired directly into the AUX input, its a million times better than the builtin speaker -- especially when making bluetooth phone calls.

worth the $$ imo as the sliding door keeps it totally out of sight, unlike hardwiring it to your dash where it's in plain sight and broadcasting "steal me!!" to every thief in the world.

plus you don't have to drill holes in your dash piece.

Coz the screen looks awfully small and since it's centred in the middle of the dash which kinda makes it even further away from the driver's seat.

from the drivers seat it doesnt look too small at all. its perfectly legible and perfectly sized. the pics may make it look small but it isnt.

i guess it might look too small compared to the giant steaming piece of s*** known as the oem mazda3 navi.
