Removing Drums

Grrrr. The stupid screws holding the rear drums on won't come loose. I got them off when I did the brakes a few years back in spite of rust, but this time, they are stuck solid. I have tried penetrating oil and a manual impact driver, but with no success. I even accidentally stripped the head threads on one of them while trying.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what might work?

I've had to resort to a sledgehammer in the past (unfortunately). Were you planning on replacing the drums/shoes anyway?
