Forge or turboxs bpv?

I have forge and love it.. look, performance and sound is perfect for me
at first i was weary of the ping sound but once i installed it i couldn't keep my foot from punding down and then letting off.. I would compare it to the high pitch hks noise but thats just me..
Im sure turboxs valve is just as good in all categories.
Its really just a personal choice.. do you want to have a unique loud sound
or a basic air noise thats a little more suttle?

and as far as the synpase adding 20 hp and all that bs.. i don't buy it..
Its just like a Intake.. they all do the same thing! thats like saying the injen intake adds 20 hp but the fujita (that is basically shaped the exact same way) only does 5... If you believe something liek that you should be slapped
some might be longer with different filters and such.. but at the end of the day its a insignificant amount of difference between brands.. as long as its aftermarket its gonna be way better than stock

Are we supposed to pick a BPV/BOV just based on the sound they make? Or the performance they bestow?

Then maybe the price/performance = value proposition.

I like the performance of my TurboXs, and bought an HKS to try out and have had all sorts of problems with it (it's used) I may try out a forge sometime soon.

turbosmart is spose to have a oem replacement soon too..Im sure that will stack up well..It seems like the forge is a soild choice..least with the turboxs I dont need to mess with shims or springs..not that thats hard or a bother really..but the simpler the better sometimes. I guess the question is..when the aftermarket bpv/bov was installed did you actrully notice your car hold booster longer and stronger.

I have a small amount of our new "ping-less" valves, please contact me via PM if you are interested in trying one out.

I`m driving around with a prototype right now. It`s a nice, clean looking piece that doesn`t take over the engine compartment like some others we could all name. Typical Forge quality craftsmanship too. Definite improvement in looks over the stocker, but more subtle than most others. It also works. Very satisfying "woosh" with no ching! sound.
My only mods under the hood to date are an MSCAI and the Forge BPV, and my boost according to my gauge holds pretty rock steady at just about 15 psi, so no leaking going on here. Next week I`m getting over my nerves and installing one of their MBCs too.

but I am looking specifically for a kehh-ching-wallawalla bingbang sound...

Nothing to do with the topic, sorry, but after seeing this, all I can think of is the comedian who said that when he and his wife had a baby girl, they wanted to give her a name that honored her mixed Jewish-Chinese heritage.
Her name is "Cha-ching".

like i said eighter synapse or hks. they both are the s*** on the market now. both in sound and performance!!!

Just installed a Forge (blue +1shim). Already had a Cobb SRI. Damn, what a difference with the Forge! I'll live with the ping (which actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be) to get the performance benefits. Pulls harder through the full RPM range, has much better throttle response. This thing is awesome! I felt more of a butt dyno diff when I added the Forge than when I added the SRI. Go figure...

Your stock BPV was probably leaking as they are known to do.

I have the Forge, blue w/2, and don't mind the sound because I want performance. If the BPV quacked like a duck but held boost the best then I would take my car duck hunting. Alot of guys here want the best sounding BPV but end up with the Forge in the end because it is simply the best option.

Im tempted with the Forge Im just afraid the ping sound will get to me after a while. I have seen youtube videos but I cant get the full effect unless I hear it live.

I would guess it's probably less obnoxious in the cabin. It's loud cause in the videos the hood is up in a garage.

I plan on doing what I always do when I don't want to hear the creaks and groans of my car that make me nervous. TURN UP THE RADIO (rockon)(nana)(headbang)

I'm in the market for a BPV also but I don't care about sound at all. I'm thinking the Forge is the best for price and performance. Are there any other on the market that are better?

I was just curious as to how/where you got your forge bpv proto. I PM'd patty at forge and asked but havent gotten a response yet. Ive been looking for a valve to replace my stocker and like the reviews of the forge as it seems to be the best for our cars. any ideas/help??

I also PM'd her with no response :( screw it Im about to just order a Forge bpv!! I can't wait any longer i think i'm leaking boost
