How much would you pay for my car?

Let me start off by saying if this is in a bad spot, give it a kick to the right spot. On to the fun:
I've recently realized me and the 3 have either very good, hard, steamy sex or it's as bland as a nuns...well, you get the idea. So I'm pretty much looking to sell but this isn't a FS thread, I just want to know what you guys think my car is worth in actuality and/or if you're and idiot off the street. I know it's 18K trade-in, 20K private party, and 22K suggested retail price on KBB.
But I want to know how much YOU the average half moronic (I know you guys are smart) consumer would pay for my car. I'm looking in the ball park of 21-22.5K for it just using you guys as a reference point to what I could actually be looking at getting for it.

I've got a:
2008.5 Mazda3
Grand Touring
everything but Nav
Galaxy Gray with black leather interior

Shes got 3890 miles as of this post.

Mods are in my sig if interested.

Attached are a couple pics.

edit: washed every other week and garaged for 5 of 7 months I've owned her.

I dont think your going to get near $21-22.5k for it, sorry. I got my car new for that... You seem to have a decent amount of mods but those wont increase the selling price, your better off parting out and selling separate. This is a buyers market and sellers arent getting anywhere near what the cars "worth". Good luck selling.

none of the stuff he added to the car is of any value.

Cars and parts dont ever appreciate except over time, and they are super rare.

The car has a clearcoat, so i dont know why thats listed as a "mod".

One of the local guys went to trade his 08 3 sedan in for a rx8 and was offered 8k i believe on trade in.

As for private sale, look on autotrader and find the average for your year and trim. But i can tell you now you wont be getting anywhere near 20.

maybe something you didn't realize.....mods LOWER the value of your car, not add to it. A used car shopper sees those mods and knows that even though the car has low miles, they were more likely than not some hard miles. Also, not sure if you knew this, but you've got a normal 3, not a speed three, might want to think about shaving a few thou off of your price.

Honestly, they aren't any performance mods and the car is still slow and pretty much stock. But if anything, I'm going to be getting the money for that clear coating and tint job back. That s*** was expensive!

I don't drive it hard, I never would drive it incredibly hard, when I do drive it hard it's getting on the freeway with these idiots on the road, even if I drove it hard then I would have hella issues with it instead of rattles and stupid things the car shouldn't do in the first place.

In the end if I don't get my price then trading it in for full trade in value is the better option. I guess I just won't know until I try and sell it.

So your car appreciated? How did you manage that?
It appreciated the day after I bought it. KBB said it was worth 24,500 or something like that when my sticker wasn't even that. Now KBB just set the price at 22K. Even if that is SRP, it's still the highest amount I can get.

if you can get 22k for it...good for you. i don't think it is worth that much.

Me neither, I'm just hoping the people around me are really stupid or I get really lucky.

I paid like 21,200 for mine which was way too much then so maybe I should try and sell it for that. Full refund FTW!

its not. used speed3s are starting to be seen around 19k.

The car comes from the factory with a clearcoat, im not entirely sure what you spent your money on. If you mean that dealer applied sealant, than congrats on wasting a couple hundred on that. Its nothing more than an automotive paint sealant that lasts a couple of months, but they say it lasts a couple years or tell you you never have to wax again right?

there is no such miracle product.

also, dealerships dont use KBB, they use a different one, the name escapes me, but your looking at getting maybe 17k if sold privately, and you have the car professionally detailed inside and out, Where there isnt any swirls or micromarring left. That alone will cost upwards of 4-500 for a quality job, and assuming your interior isnt trashed w/ stains and caked on dirt. (which it probably isnt, what im referring to is where the interior looks like theres a forest growing)

you wont be getting much on trade in either. Expect under 10k for trade in.

sell privately, youll get the most of your money back

i took my 07 to a dealership to trade it in. they quoted me 13,500 for trade in on a brand new CX-9.

i wouldn't pay more than 14.5 for it considering i could get a speed 3 for 18, and 20k is a joke. that's something the dealer would ask for, and 3's have rebates, and with the market, you could get a new one for around 18k with ur options or less. i say 14.5 private, and a dealer will probably offer you around 11k being really nice and sell it for 15k or around there.
