never heard that before haha pretty crazy maybe need me some new wheels now haha
Tell me about it.
You can keep your humidity and hurricanes.
Both 15" and 14" size tires are pretty cheap. I've heard finding 5 bolt 14" wheels can be a little challenging though. I have 195/55-15 Hankook iPikes on my car in the winter.
A few years back...we had a GACC meet in the Cheeha Mnts. I blew one tire on the highway, drove that b**** on stock rims (tire was flat as a pancake) to the next exit, and changed the tire. Only to have ANOTHER tire go flat while I was putting the spare on. So, I had to drive on the OTHER stock rim (tire was flat) to the Wal-Mart and swap another tire out.
Moral of the story:
STOCK P5 WHEELS are pretty much invincible. I have 2 witnesses and pictures of this incident also.
I take it you've never been to florida before right?
and the pictures are where? lol
well the size you are showing here will throw off the actual speed by 3.2% faster then shown on speedometer which is not too bad. input the sizes on this site to see other differences: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/info_specs.jspSorry for being such a newb, but what are the size values? I'm in need of some winter tires/steelies and found something on craigslist with a 185/65R15. Would that work with a MP5?
well i would not go with anything bigger than 15s for pothole clearance purpose. they are only little higher than stock so should fit. but like i said to have extra cushion i got 14s 15s are a little worse for this reason but are better than stock 16s. also generally the bigger the wheel the more the tires cost (if you try to keep it close to stock speedometer accuracy). of course 225/65/15 may be less$ than tires that will fit our cars cuz they are not as low profile as we have. which is another reason i got 14s.ok, found another.
Blizzak 205/55/16 91R WS 60
Rims say 16x61/2j.
The calculator says they're 3mph faster than stock. But, I'm concerned about them even fitting in the wheel well. Suggestions?
the eclipse/talon wheels from first link is what i have exactly and they fit perfect. i am so happy with them. we got first snow today in nj and i tested them and they work great. i get alot more traction with cheap tires than with my 205/40/16 on stock rims. the second link you posted has different bolt pattern so they will not fit.So, by the sound of it, these eclipse rims should fit my MP5 ,correct?

Sorry to be so "posty", but I also saw these rims that are a much better deal. From what I found without knowing the exact year of the camry they came off of, the bolt pattern is 114.3, but I'm curious about the rest of the rim specs.
