any problems with switching to the msp radiator and condensor cause i'm going with the smic setup but im not sure if everything will bolt up fine

Just make sure to get the msp radiator brackets, hoses. Also the msp #1cold pipe(its the a/c line from condensor to reciever dryer). Also the msp fans. Had no problems bolting it up to the frame.

hmm ok, i think i'll need to check if i have the radiator brackets and hoses. I think I have all the stock piping and fans, so i'm ok there. thanks

I went the FMIC route, but kinda wish I just did the MSP SMIC setup instead. FMIC mounting isn't very easy on our bumpers.. especially with the fog lights in the way. And with the SMIC you can make the engine bay look nice and stock. It's just much easier.. that's all. Granted it doesn't really do much actual cooling..

I've banged my rev limiter a few times when the triptronic didn't register my shift input.

Jeg, what type of fluid were you running at the time?

Oh yeah, I should post what I posted elsewhere here:

Apparently my tourque converter as well as the main drum on the tranny are both shot and there are metal shavings everywhere. So I'm getting charged for both of those, new filter, new seals, new clutch packs.... basically everything new except for the gears themselves, the housing, and the valve body they also said they needed to do something to. Basically it all came down to the fact that a new tranny from Mazda and him re-building mine came out to the same price but if he re-builds it he can give me a lifetime warranty with free service every 12k miles and also install a tranny cooler. So the damage, with 12 hours of labor, is just shy of $3k and I have no choice but to bend over and take it since they already have the work half done.

And I was running whatever fluid I bought at AutoZone.... nothing too fancy. Live and learn I guess, I just hope the car will last me another 8 years and this will be all worth it in the end. Wonder if with this warranty I can turbo the car and not have to worry about messing up the tranny? Should I even ask them that? lol

I'm going too, because it would be sweet to be able to turbo my auto and not worry about the tranny!

I think I said that already, im sorry... its too early for me.

Dude.. that's bulls***. What do you mean you have no choice "since they have half the work done already?!" Did you approve this work to be done? If not, I'd tell them to stop right now, cuz while you're at it you can easily pick up the Lentech 4F27E/FN4A-EL Street Terminator Transmission for $2000.

I'm just saying, if you have plans of turboing later, now is the PERFECT chance to upgrade the weakest link of our cars.

The thread fitting is m14x1.5. Get a fitting like that here:

Get a washer the same size to use. Once that fitting is in the pan where the drain bolt goes, you install the sender into that fitting.

Did you ever have this adapter and sendor in place before you installed your aux cooler?

I'm just about to place my order for the adapter.

how did you replace the P5 condensor with the MSP condensor? ppl are telling me that the lines won't reach and that I need to do something about it.

I should have rode around on it a little bit longer, ordered that tranny, and just went to the shop for the swap. I need my car back ASAP and the only way to do that is to let them go ahead and repair it. I didn't know it was going to be that much untill just this morning and my car has been gone since Friday morning. I'm just gonna take it in the ass again and make the best of it. If thats possible.

Nope. I installed it when I was installing my turbo with trans cooler and other goodies.
