I'm just curious, why do cat-back and downpipe, why not just do a full turboback?

I hope that wasn't a serious question, but if it was, he's already running a turboback....Did you not notice that he has a turboxs downpipe/midpipe and a cp-e catback? (headshake

It was a serious question, but don't they sell the turboback exhaust as one kit, instead of piecing it all together individually?

Yes, they do, but some people like the sound of different catbacks, I know the TurboXS Turboback is pretty inexpensive for a full setup, but seeing how he has the CP-E catback with his TurboXS Downpipe, he might have liked the CP-E sound alittle better than the TurboXS catback.

Remember, the catback's primary responsibility is to provide exhaust acoustics, it isn't quite a performance mod.

Understood. Makes alot of sense now. I can only imagine how many stinkin combinations you could possibly put together!

There are many combinations, I like the sound of my stock catback combined with my turboxs downpipe, I know for sure that if you go turboback, you're going to be hella loud. Which is why I kept the stocker, nothing frustrates me more than getting pulled over for having a loud exhaust. (encourage

And downpipe is what connects the turbo to the rest of the exhaust?

There are 3 sections of the exhaust, Downpipe, Midpipe and catback.

Downpipe > Midpipe > Catback, CP-E and Cobb are a single peice downpipe, they weld the downpipe and midpipe, corksport and turboxs have a 2 peice setup.

thanks guys!!! but lol. yea its loud when you get on it. but slow cruising its okay!

has the check light gone on any time with the catback and downpipe?

i haven't decided yet if i will install the downpipe and midpipe, what do you recomend? brand? for sure no check light?

thank you

yes there is a check engine light with the turboxs downpipe+midpipe. but you can get the "spark plug non fouler" from like advance auto parts or autozone or pepboys or something and attach it to the 2nd o2 sensor on the Downpipe to get rid of it. but if you dont want to bother with that. then get the cp-e catted downpipe. that will run you around 600 tho. but the cp-e is just one piece. so its downpipe+midpipe in one piece.

i dont really have much money lying around so i went with the turboxs downpipe+midpipe for only $360. its not bad either. pretty nice. but if you have money go with the cp-e.

Do the diode fix on your secondary o2 sensor, takes no more than 5 minutes and cost only $1.49, I also have the turboxs downpipe / midpipe and have no CEL, keep in mind, the turboxs already has a non-fouler welded on the o2 bung.
