Hey guys. I went into the dealer today ready to buy, but I guess they were not ready to sell!(headshake...

It was an our before they closed and the guy was just like "well why don't you come back some other time"...wierd

OK story aside...

I was hoping you guys could list you Out the Door" price (price of the car plus any taxes and fees) for me. I am trying to get somewhere around 23,500 for a 2008.5 GT.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!(spin)

good luck with that price
it's diff for everyone because of tax depending on state.

i paid 23,650 +TTL which came out to 25.5 otd in los angeles, ca

Useless unless you tell us your location. If you're looking at OTD (includes freight and TTL), then it depends on local demand and your state. Buying in a state with no sales tax is obviously going to have a lower OTD price than a state with, everything else constant.

good point...
thanks
ok its nh and tax free!
so i guess out the door shouldn't include the tax then...

thanks!

$22,740 before TTL
$24,900 OTD
CA Tax = 8.25%

So in NH minus the tax, I would have paid ~$23,000 OTD for a 2008.5 MS3 GT with no options.

Since you don't pay sales tax, then $23.5k OTD for a GT is very doable. In VA, I paid ~$700 for sales tax for $24.3k OTD.

I'm in North Carolina, but I was shooting for the same deal a month or so ago. I ended up getting 2008.5 GT for less than $100 over that. Below is the breakdown I got from my dealer:

$25,363.00 MSRP

$22,363.00 SALE PRICE
0 TRADE
$22,363.00 DIFFERENCE
$670.89 TAX
$23,033.89 SUBTOT
0 Rebates
$28.00 FILE
$9.75 NCSI
$450.00 DOC
$74.00 REG / TAG / TITILE

$23,595.64 TOTAL

They can do it for $23,500, if the timing for the holdback, etc is just right. Just remember...persistance overrides resistance. Good luck!

Lowest price I got was $22895 + tax title registration for a 08.5
Breakdown was: invoice inc. destn. charge $23240 - $600 + $200 advertising charge + 55 document fee = 22895 + ttl

I actually paid $55 more to get the 08 color/interior I wanted from my local right round the corner.

So your bottom line, in my area (SF Bay), in June 08 was $22895

You should easily get a price in the 22 range for a GT without nav. TTL will add somewhat to this. Be on the lookout for any weird delivery, handling etc fees they like to pad with. Also take into consideration where your financed through. Try to do this on your own, since they will lie to you on the rate you qualify for, pocketing a significant bonus from the bank in doing so.

isn't that well below invoice?

It'll also depend on how many dealers you have access to. The local dealer here is the only one within reasonable distance. My CWP GT was $26,700 OTD.

wow, i'm envious that some of you got invoice or even lower. how did you do it?

about 10 days ago, i got a 2008.5 GT here in southern CA:
invoice = 23,240+150 "los angeles assessment"=23,390
sale price=invoice +200=23,590
doc fee around $50
tax=7.75%
plus license fee, dmv fee, CA tire fee

out the door was 25xxx

for others who bought in socal, did you also get this "Los Angeles assessment"?

My loan was 3 yrs at 5.35% with the dealer, but i know i could have gotten 4.95% through capital one through costco.

The dealer called me back and said 24,900 PLUS title and admin fees. He's saying that other dealers are marking them up above and beyond MSRP! I know he is full of s*** but he said he won't budge...

looks like i will have to buy from a dealer in another region i guess...

any suggestions??
