woa! a lot of secretes around this place!

sneaky bastards!!!! na just joking! but fore real when do we get to see the real tuned results and all the other secret tidd bits?

I know right... its like wth!!! I feel kinda left out!! I might have to steal your car from you Jon.. so if you see a Silver MS3 with black wheels outside your door around the 4th of July when Im going to visit a friend in Texas... It was not me! I promise. Just letting you know.

if you're in town before the 4th (the 3rd), that thursday we usually have the local mazda meets.

unfortunately the car is down until late next week. I will have a front mount to put on and a custom stainless braided oil feed line. I didn't like the factory feed line and I was smoking a bit due to an oil restrictor issue (gun)

I put in my oil restrictor which also required me to do a SS oil feed line..
Theres a local hose warehouse/distributor whom I went to and they made my oil feed line, only $18! Also, everyone says we don't need a restrictor, including ATP. What made you put one in? Mine is right on the turbo.

However.. to date (10 months) I am leaking at the block where the feed line comes out. I tightened it 2 weeks ago, and still seems tight but I am leaking oil from somewhere. It may not be from the block but instead the damn o-ring on my oil cartridge housing.

"i was smoking a bit due to an oil restrictor issue" - last post :D

you should get under your car. it'd be very apparent if its from the front of the block to the rear of the block.

Yeah I think Im gonna try and be there the 2nd-5th of July. Just depends really.. Ill get in touch with you about the meet though.

subbin...

I was thinking about getting a 3071r too for my ms6... but not sure everything needed...And I don't want to yet cus of no flash out and ppl blowing engines left and right.. what are you doing for the lean spot when boost kicks in? tuning past it? does that work? or is it because of boost kicking in.. or ecu getting in the way..

I need to know how you are tuning it! lol...

So.. are new pistons/rods enough for our engines to not blow it with proper tuning and that turbo? Or should I just let it be stock until it blows then rebuilt engine...

Other than ur secret tune. .what else would I need? (or what you have done):
manifold wrap and paint
downpipe/exhaust
rods/pistons
fmic/sri/bov
catch can (which i don't understand how where to install)
fuel pump upgrade
gt30!
anything else I'm missing? you did the b/s delete right? and vcts? and egr? Don't really understand the point of em..but whatever..

I just need new mounts and the turbo..

Can't wait till see some stable numbers after a good dyno/tune!!!
my goal is 350 all-whp. own the road somewhat

i did the balance shaft delete. It removes 17lbs of weight from the motor itself, and the vibrations aren't noticeable. do it. The other stuff is all still intact.

Any word on the monster??? Im anxious to see.

what monster?????????????????????????????????

i guess an update is a good idea. I've been in the woods and swamped with 1000x of stuff.

since my last update in any big turbo thread, i've gotten a few new toys.

the ETS tmic is sold and gone.

I now rock the CP-E FMIC. Its perfectly built and engineered, and the fit and quality could not be better. Hands down the best FMIC for the speed 3 out there. Thank you CP-E and thank you ProtegeGarage for getting that sweet piece out to me.

In order to afford the CP-E FMIC (not cheap, but well worth the $$$$), I also sold my BC coilovers to SLS_MS3, Brandon, a local friend and mazdaspeed3 guy. In return, I got some cash and his cobb springs. The car sits lower and rides suprisingly well for just springs.

I also installed the Cobb rear sway bar, which I had had for awhile. Its a nice piece and fits perfectly.

Also, I bailed on the TRZ Delrin motor mount and got a CP-E motor mount. I love it. The delrin makes my car a racecar, barely bearable on the streets, the CP-E allows me to have a comfortable ride with no wheel hop, even on this crazy setup.

I've been getting a lean at idle code from an off brand MAF housing (what I think was TXS, bought from another member). I knew the CP-E maf housing was CNC'd to almost identical specs as the OE housing, so I called up Josh Adams and Jordan (thanks guys!) and asked if I could get just a housing, not a full CAI. They hooked me up with a speed 6 housing (instead of the speed 3 for nerdy reasons) and I went ahead and picked up one of their filters while I was at it. Things are running better, but I still have a lean at idle code. I checked all hoses and can't find a leak. ergggggggg. Jordan Josh and Lou have been in constant communication with me in trying to help me out. Much appreciated. We'll see what comes of it.

Also, I ditched the JoeP manual boost controller. I like it, but I wanted something I could play with in the cabin. AEM TruBoost FTW! Also, I picked up from Nutari (steve) the sok07 gauge plate for 3 gauges. I originally had the one for 2 gauges. I love it, its a rare find. Thank you.

edit: oh yea.... Also got an Mfactory catch can (correct size hose and all aluminum, very nice). I put that in today with a 2nd OEM PCV valve. No more smoking... yay!

and I feel like there was something else that I'm forgetting. Maybe my helmet that comes in on Friday? LOL

Very very nice!!! glad to hear everything is good.. except for that lean idle problem. Hope you get that fixed ASAP. I love how the car is still so sleeper... with the stock rims and such that no one would be the wiser.

thats what I'm going for, although I have my wheels picked out. I need to do some measuring :D

You going with the black on black look? Or something else? Ive always been a huge fan of the black on black. Maybe throw a red lip in there or something.. would look sick!!!

PM replied.

I thought about black wheels red lip, but have something else in mind at the moment. More of baller status.

:D

i blew off a charge pipe this morning? I've been busy doing fuel pump stuff and studying? I'm most likely going to dyno next weekend?

nice which one did you blow off those are always fun to fix espically when they blow off on the core and your on the side of the road takin the bumper off to get to the t-bolt and coupler lol

:D i was dreading that that may have been the case. I was on the way to my 8am class which is 24miles from my house. i didn't have any tools but i did limp the car to homedepot parking lot. thankfully it was just the coupler from the turbo to the intercooler pipe. i just pushed it back on and drove out of boost. its all good now.
