that is good to hear. i've been holding off on the bpv upgrade just because i wanted one that sounded reasonable. ya, i know it's a stupid reason, but it gives me an excuse to wait for the cobb bpv...

dude it makes a big diff! car feels much slower by comparison with the stock bpv on.. you will be happy when you get one

ya, it's a good valve (functionally), but there's a lot of competition out there, and i'm pretty sure that they're all a pretty darn good upgrade from stock.

In those (rare) instances when our product is no better than the rest we (usually) have the advantage of price and (nearly always) have superior customer service

A forum member should have a valve with a revised piston in his hands to test in the next few days...

as stupid as it sounds, the ridiculous (imo, of course!) dinging sound is the only thing that kept me from your valve. otherwise, i would have bought a forge BPV a WHILE back. are you suggesting that the revised piston will change the sound to a simple "pshh" like the stock BPV?

that is good to hear...i hope this revised valve gives the sound that i like, because i really do want to see how my boost behaves with a new BPV (i've been doing a lot of logging with my new dash hawk...)

p.s. It hold boost better than the stock valve. Maybe mine was leaking a little. Maybe this is a better design. I ran a Forge 007 on my VW for a few years and it worked awesome.

i'm a fan of the sound. and it's not like you have to listen to all the time. under normal circumstances, it doesn't really make noise. it's when you rip it and let off of the throttle fast that it makes that loud, wonderful sound.

I installed Forge on Saturday with tubes from Street Unit. And i am old. don't ask. Sooo this is holding consistent boost. Performance is so much better with valve. And if you stay out of boost you can stealth along. But when it chings I laugh every time. Love the product and the tech! can I have my sponsorship now? Serious about the customer satisfaction. What was this thread about?

Patty at Forge may have my problem solved with a piston that gives that lovely whoosh sound without the metallic ping that my son and I love to hear on other cars. I just want the whoosh on my steed. (cool)
