I have 07 MS3 with MS CAI and I wanted more bling under the hood and more sound from the bypass valve. I did a little research on the sound of the Forge but after a five mile loop I realized that the ping sound is not quite gentle enough for this 45 year old Dad. My son thought is was the "bomb" though. The package says it was shipped from ProtegeGarage on 4-16-08.
It was on the car only for the 5 mile loop and therefore is in perfect new condition with red, blue and yellow springs, and 2 shims. I was just going to return it and eat the 25% fee but I got no return email or phone call from PG.

You can save money and I can lose less money. I spent 159.95 so how about 135.00 plus shipping.

if jbiird317 backs out, I'll take it... was planning on getting an HKS but I think I like the way the forge sounds nows...

yeah i read that i was just saying anyway for me such an increase in performance whats the big deal about a little ping? but to each his own

ya, it's a good valve (functionally), but there's a lot of competition out there, and i'm pretty sure that they're all a pretty darn good upgrade from stock.

ya i'm happy with my turboxs rfl, i'm just saying from the forums it seems that the forge gets the best reviews, palerider said the forge held boost much better than the synapse!! and the synapse adds like 28hp so if the forge is better than that....

ooo...that's good to hear. i don't put much faith into the synapse "28hp" results, though. the circumstances of their testing just left too many questions unanswered. if you wanted a better indication of how it REALLY works, you'd do the same dyno comparison on a car that didn't have "bad gas". i am willing to believe that a good valve will increase my effective performance, but i'm not quite gullible enough to believe that the synapse test results are to be trusted...(no)

yeha 28hp is a pretty high claim, when i get my car dynoed i might through on the stock valve just to see what the diff is, I really think my turboxs holds boost alot better than stock

that is good to hear. i've been holding off on the bpv upgrade just because i wanted one that sounded reasonable. ya, i know it's a stupid reason, but it gives me an excuse to wait for the cobb bpv...:D
