Got me a mazda 6

Hey what's up i just got me a 06 mazda 6 and thought i would join this fourm to get more familiar with the car. This is my first mazda so i dont know to much about them.

Could some one tell me what size engine this is please and thank you.

so how do you use the manual transmission on the automatic cars?
I tryied to use it but i have no clue how it works.(dunno)

You might want to read your owners manual, it has all the pertinent information that you've asked about in it.

Thanks man, but i do not have a owners manual.
I like the power it has it is real nice.(drive2)
The guy told my wife the car was rwd, but i though they only come in fwd & awd but how would i know right.

rwd!! haha man what a smart guy (sarcasm) the car is most def. not rwd and its a v6 so it has to be a 3.0L with 212hp
so pretty good amount of power, any other questions?

Its FWD - Dont listen to any dealers.

To use the manual shift mode - (if stopped) depress brake pedal, move shifter all the way to the bottom - Then move to the right. To upshift, push the shifter UP (or towards the stereo). To downshift, pull the shifter towards the cup holders.

If you are already driving, just push the shifter to the right. If you car is anything like my grandma's Mazda3, the car will not automatically upshift, so you will need to keep an eye on what gear you are in.

oh i was wondering if these cars also come with a oem turbo?
Also how much more hp would the turbo produce?

I have been looking around and i must say there are some real nice rides on here. Keep up the good work guy's & girl's.

no it doesnt come with a turbo, the Mazdaspeed 6 does tho and it puts down 270 somethin horspower from a 2.3 so its pretty fast
u have a v6 mazda 6 so a turbo would be a huge increase in power, like maybe 50-80 horsepower depending on mods and psi

oh but i wouldnt suggest turbo-ing an auto, the tranny normally doesnt handle to well with the extra power

Oh well then, it has some good power already.
It fells nice to have a newer car than my other 2 cars.
I have a 95 eclipse that i like to work on also, i might just turbo that.

the s means that you have the 3.0L V6. an i would mean that you had the 2.3L Inline 4 cylinder.

mazdaspeed means you have the turbocharged 2.3L I4
