In reality, if you have no plans on upping the boost with a controller then you really don't need one.

A boost gauge is a very good thing to have and EVERY boosted car should have one, because if something fails i want to know if my can starts boosting 30psi instead of stock 18 or so.

Read my above post again...after all you quoted it.yeaup ok, and then once you put some kind of controller on there, s*** can go bad. plus boost is somehting you want to monitor in a turboed car, plus monitoring boost to adjust your driving habbits is a great thing also.(I believe someone previously stated this.
But as far as the electrical being more accurate. Yes in a way and it does have its advantages as to install. But unless you want to drop a pretty penny mechanical will suite you just as well.
