Need ideas

Something I am toying with is building a 2 small boxes that will seal flush up against the rear window so no light flashes back in the car and mounted 35 watt fog lights in them, that way when it's dark and can't see when backing up, flip the switch. Or, the guy behind you won't shut off his brights, flip the switch!!

When I finally get around to doing it, I'll post up pics and what not.

Tylor

Coulda used that the other night. lol

Yeah, I have a "cargo" light facing back mounted under the middle spot on the roll bar in the bed of my truck. It's a dual purpose thing as was stated. Very bright, very handy.

ok, so I have an idea. I want to get a new head unit and all, but won't get around to that for some time. So, I bought one of those FM transmitter things (hasn't arrived yet) so I can use my mp3 player on the stock head unit. It runs on DC power, so I could just wire it to the switch and leave the transmitter on all the time. And put the Transmitter in that little cubbyhole with the switch. This helps eliminate clutter since I will have the MP3 player plugged into the DC outlet. This way I can just flip the switch and the transmitter goes on and i play my music. No batteries and no clutter.

Or, does this sound too complicated for such a simple task, haha. Auxmod was an idea previously, but I want to get a head unit with Aux input in the future, so $70 doesn't seem justifiable for just a few months, which is why I got the FM transmitter.

I put a custom switch around the same area as the one you have and i use it for my fog lights. So they stay on all the time when the car is on.It gives it a nice look. But you have to do some extra wiring for that..

Wait wait wait wait wait.

Wait.

You're claiming 10 HP on the FS-DE with an electric supercharger!?!? (headshake

I think my brain just tried to commit suicide.

yea 10 bhp, its not that much. i didnt say 10 fwhp. why is it so impossible for it to work? its a stupid mod, its still not worth buying one. watch this video. this will give you an idea that they do work.

the 250cfm marine fans are the ones that are powerful enough, anything under, not really gonna do anyhting. but like i said, its stupid.

wow, who the **** thought to do that?

well if you know the theory of how the engine works....

more air = more power. technically throwing more air into an engine, a more powerful combustion will occur. the only problem with that is, too much air over fuel, you will run lean and blow the engine.

but the leaf blower is not powerful enough in order for the car having to dump more fuel to compensate.

the nos in the other hand, can and might blow your engine if your engine is not tuned for it.

thanks jamesk, you're an intellectual beacon for us all.

Of course, this doesn't account for the extra pull on the alternator weighting the engine down to run that thing, or if battery powered, the extra weight of a battery that works for about 20 seconds before it needs to be re-charged...
