Turbo Water Supply

Well, I'm almost finished with installing all my turbo components. The only problem I'm having is the water feed/drain from the turbo. I would like to use the Optional alternative #2 from the "Thinking of turbocharging your p5" sticky.

"Optional alternative #2:
--Diverting the water lines that go to the throttle body to the turbo instead. The water lines that go through the throttle body are only meant for extremely cold conditions where it is possible for the throttle to get seized open or closed, the water running through the throttle body is meant to keep it warm. In theory, you should see horsepower gains from using this method since you are lowering the intake air temperatures. In reality however, the gains are minimal if even noticeable once the car has warmed up. This is an easy option, however if you live in a very cold environment I would steer away from this option."

My question is can anyone point out the ports i would be using for my water feed and water drain lines in a picture or diagram?

i don't have a picture... but it easily seen in the engine bay...
follow you top radiator hose to where it connects to the engine... the small hose just rear of it is going to your throttle body...
you can cut it there... hook up one of the lines from you turbo... then the other line back up to the line you cut to complete the loop...
at least that's what i did and it doesn't cut off the flow of water to your throttle body... would be good to know the direction of the water flow though so the super hot water coming from turbo isn't going into the throttle body... either way it's easy to see what water hosed are coming off the throttle body...

there's actually a "How-to" somewhere... that's how i figured out what i needed... or maybe not a how to but something to that sort... can't remember what thread it was exactly

thanks!

lol im guessing it's this port?

and i'd hook up #1 to my water feed and #2 to my water drain? or vice versa?

Yes that is the one I used.
Just use either one. #1 or #2. Not both.
All your doing is cutting one hose and then hook up one water line to one side that you cut and the other water line to the other side that you cut to complete the loop. I used the one closer to the front #1

Btw I don't know what #2 is circling. Just use #1

lol #2 is where the hose from #1 connects to. i was just wondering if there was a particular order that they had to be in. but it doesnt sound like it. thanks man, you saved me a bunch of time.(yippy)
