SO i take it that there are still no turbo back exhaust systems for our car...so i guess I'll have to have one fabbed for me.

I figured I'll go w/ a high flow cat...
but I want a good sounding, but QUIET muffler with a small exhaust tip to complete it. Any ideas/links/pics?

FMs is for the P5 not MP3 or sedan and I think its a proto not a production model yet. I think I am just going to have one made for me so i can choose every aspect of it myslef.

The only way to go now is to fab your own (3-2.5 inch)
Or you can by the JIC 2.4 inch system from ARDMP5

nah, 2.4" is too small for me. So what MUFFLER options do I have? Would my stock mp3 muffler be too restrictive? How about the mazdaspeed muffler?

How about the mazdaspeed muffler?

Thats what I was thinking, but about mine, I have the Sport Exhaust axle back and its the only axleback I like, but i dont know the specs.
Anyone here knows about this one?

We do have full 2.25" exhausts for the P5, and we should be getting them for the sedan as well.

If you're running 6 psi with the stock cats in place, there's no gain to a 2.5". The 2.5" was the prototype.

Um the HKS's are REAL nice but loud. Guiet ones would be like APEX N1 sounds good ar the JIC's
Actually the HKS on our cars are real deep and mellow. The apexi N-1's are loud and raspy. I have heard many good things about the JIC's.
I have a 3 inch on my car with no cats and HKS muffler and its not loud at all....the HKS does a very good job in muffling without being restrictive

I plan on running 8psi eventually...I'd want a 2.5" miniumum.

I'd get it, but the only thing I don't like is the tip size. When my car is parked (and they can't hear/see the power) I just don't wanna be confused by ignorant people with a guy with a stock car and a big exhaust tip.

Thermal makes excellent stuff. The can itself is only part of the system, of course.

Right, I planned on using that muffler...a high flow cat, and a custom exhaust system. Keith, do you know how Thermals sound? How do they look? THe more details the better. :-)

I don't know about their weld-in systems. Sound is related to the entire system, but their complete setups do sound very good. They're shiny, they have tips that are too small to put your head into, and you'll have a good can.
