ive got the same problem, i had to get the touch up paint from nissan cause my dealership sucks but it even seems like my back and front bumper paint is fading, does any one else with a yellow p5 have this problem?

(pissed)GAAAHHH!!! Some jerk off was in an exit only lane today in boston and who knows what he was thinking but kept driving straight through the break down lane and of course the day i'm driving like a responsible adult in the slow lane next to him he kicks up a huge chunk of pavement and lands on my hood and leaves a big scratch and dent ... ahhh who are these ppl that just coast through life leaving a wake of destruction behind them!!!

That does sound like a good idea, but the aftermarket paint used is even cheaper than OEM, it will chip twice as easily, believe it or not.

If you have a mobile body guy (like the one we use at our dealership) who mixes the paint on the spot, around $125-$175 per bumper. Only downside is that everything is masked off, so it will not look 100% perfect close up to a fussy bastard like me.

Personally, I'd take my car to a renowned bodyshop where they'll take the lights etc out and dismantle the bumper before spraying it and baking it in an oven. Will probably cost around $350-$400 but it will look close to how it looked the day it rolled off the showroom floor!

It all depends on the results that you're looking for...

most small paint chips can be taken care of by a quality detailer...provided you have the touch up paint. it will cost more, but its straightforward work

I was trying to find out if there were places taht would do touch up work. I've tried and have been somewhat successful however some of the areas are just to up front if I screwed up it'd look ugly!

i had my hood replaced at 90K because of acident
but b4 that i had no hood chip problems
it was just lil debris on the hood that i clayed off
no hood deflector either
