02 protege
Hey guys i have an 02 protege, its not getting spark, it has good compressions, good fuses, the engine rotates it just doesn't have spark. Is there any sensors I can check to see if its not working? I hooked the OBD2reader up to the car and no codes are thorwn. SO im not sure at all what can be the problem.. Anyhelp would be great thanks.

also lookin for that little black button that resets the alarm. under the dash can anyone pinpoint this for me?

If you put your hand under the dash where all the wires are it should be laying up towards the front near the steering wheel.

yeah, i can't seem to find it.. i just layed under the dash on my back facing everyting... I can't find it.. I really don;t think this is the problem but just checking all my options i also did the key thing in the door to reset it also... Another reason why i don't think it is my alarm is because I was driving dow the highway and the car bogged down and died.. :( this really blows

man it was worst case scenario..... over 30% of the teeth of the timing belt were gone... its fixed now figured i would post my solution after finding the problem.

Not all Proteges have the upgraded alarm with the button under the dash, it was a dealer option and only came standard on the Mazdaspeed models. Sorry to hear about your timing belt, that's a relatively easy fix.
