BPV release is too close to MAF -----> stalling

it's been proven by Injen prototype CAI on SpicyMSP's car...........same thing, BPV release was too close to MAF, it created turbulance in MAF, car stalled after revving high and shifting to neutral of pressing clutch.

The nipple for the BPV connector should be about 10-12 inches away from the MAF.

let me know if that made sence, i'll explain it better.

that makes alot of sense i will look into it i was thinking it was leaking somewere but i will try moving the bpv futher away thanks for the help and thanks to dominoy2k1 for posting these pics for me

I installed Injen CAI on my 99 LX a year ago and s*** was stalling bad. Real Bad! Turned out to be MAF. Reseting the CEL might be worth a shot but I doubt it. Just my 2 cents.

have u recet the ECU?
i'm sure u have, but yeah, it's all about the distance from MAF

Unless the speeds are different, before I put on the 80mm Mass Air sensor, I had the stock unit on and had no stalling issues. My BPV is about 3-4 inches from the MAF. If it is the case, is there somebody that proved this, like having it too close and having stalling issues, then moving it and then having no stalling issues? I'll check out Injen to see what they did. BTW, I helped him put it on, so that's why I'm asking so many questions.

it has been proven........

injen prototype intake had the nipple about 2-3 inches from MAF...........car stalled

after they moved it down to where it was about 10-12 inches from MAF, the stalling stopped.
