sigh....

Drove about 15 miles on the freeway and got off... At a stop light i just decided to feel how the car pulls. I would say its about 65 degrees outside and 1st get seems to pull then shift to second and from 4,500k - redline i feel no pull. So i let off the gas and went from like 3k rpm - redline. Once again I feel no hard pull.... Is it me or is this car slow? First gear always feels fine... I have a CAI in the car right now, could it be that the power is so linear that i don't feel a distinct Pull... Or is this one of those "hesitation" problems. Either way I was just curious.. Cars that supposebly say they don't have the hesitation, do you guys think the ECu flash will help no matter what?

Sorry im a newb. its a MSP.

I was just fooling around, it's late (drinks)

Tha MSP is no SRT-4 in the straights, but it's one of the quickest cars around in the twisties. Take that sucker up a mountain road and I bet it'll paste a smile on your face. (wrc)

I've already done that.. but for some reason the pull is not quite as hard as it is normally. Plus I think the Suspension is to soft (spring rates). Maybe the car needs to be lowered? or just stiffer springs in the back cuz the car just pushes way to much.

See i was gonna throw some stiffer springs in the rear but dont know where to find stiff enough ones. Most are like 200lbs at the most

It doesn't sound exactly like the Hesitation since you say that power feels linear. Mine doesn't Hesitate alot but when it does I can definitely feel fluxuations in power.

Try this: Pull to redline at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Get the feel of it. Then try it again but at maybe around 3500 or 4000 rpm punch it to full throttle. If it bogs down, then it is hesitation.

I also notice that sometimes if I do the above, it doesn't feel like bogging, but I just don't get any more power. In other words, 3/4 throttle give me the same pull as WOT.

The main thing is that with Hesitation, at some points you get a decent amount of power, but it is a surge of power that then drops. If is is smooth and weak all the way to redline, then you might have a different problem.

We carry Hyper Coil Springs that you can choose what spring rate you would want. Wait till thursday and i will be able to answer more questions for you. I.e. Like what spring size/spring lenght and spring rate you could go with. BTW does anyone know the spring rate of these springs on the MSP by any chance?

Doing it at 3/4 Throttle I have a definite Bog at 4k rpm where the car stops and jerks me forward. =(

Everyone needs to stop bitching about hesitaion and just turn the boost up to 10lbs. Wow, no more hesitation and alot more power can be had for 45 dollars.
